Hitting Reset Season 6: The Pandemic Begins

Chapter 365

Matt's POV: After getting me and Gabby some food, I smiled as I came up to our room and set our plates down on the bed. "I see that you decided to go down and get the boys?" Turning her head from the sight of our boys playing on the ground with some of their toys, she agreed. "Yeah, I thought I would just get it over with." I smiled and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "I think that was a good idea." Gabby just smiled when I told her that. "Am I going to get you in your boxers today even though the kids are up here?" Looking at her, I laughed. "We'll see."

Gabby pouted when I said that. Meanwhile, I went to walk over to the boys to pick them both up. "Hey guys. You want to have some pancakes with mommy and daddy?" They both agreed with me when I asked him that before going to slap my face. I just laughed when they did that before carrying them towards our bed so that we can set them down. "You little monkeys really need to stop hitting my face. Last time I checked, it was the thing that mommy loved the most." Gabby turned to look at me when I said that. "Hey, you know that isn't the truth." I smiled. "My lips."

Gabby smiled when I said that and just went to put her hand on my cheek. Leaning in, I went to kiss her softly. "I love you." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I said that. "I still want you in boxers." I nodded and agreed with her when she told me that. "How about we eat and then we can see when you get me in boxers? Last time I checked, I did still have to bring the plates downstairs. And honestly, I'm not sure whether my sister wants to see me walking around the house in my boxers." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "Good point."

I laughed and just smiled when she said that, sitting down next to Gabby and the kids in bed. Grabbing the plates, I smiled as I grabbed my fork and then went to start cutting it up. "Here Noah, how about you come try this for daddy?" Noah then crawled over and just smiled. Going to give him a bite, I smiled because he actually liked it before signing 'more' for me. (We taught them a few words of sign language until they can really talk well. Much easier for me. Heck, even their sisters as starting to pick it up I think. Going to look at Hannah, I smiled at my cutie pie.

That's when Gabby started to eat a bit and just smiled at me. "I am pretty sure that the boys are going to play on the ground together today. Meanwhile, me, you and the girls can cuddle up to one another in bed." I smiled when Gabby told me that because I absolutely loved that idea. "That sounds perfect." Gabby smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "I bet you love that idea." I smiled and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. Going to look at Andy, I went to give him a bite of the pancakes and (as expected), he liked them just as much as his brother.

"Well, it looks like we found something else that the boys like to eat." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that because I knew that was the truth. "Tell me about it. Now they're going to be obsessed with pancakes thanks to this." Gabby agreed with me when I told her that and just smiled at me. Turning her head (while still feeding Hannah), she smiled at me. That was until I heard my sister. "Matt?" Turning my head, I smiled. "What's up sis?" She then smiled as she went to give me the cups I forgot downstairs. "I think you forgot these." I laughed.

Gabby then smiled as she looked at my sister. "How are you feeling today Christie?" Christie smiled when Gabby asked her that. "Honestly, I'm feeling better compared to yesterday." Gabby just nodded and smiled when she told us that. "That's great Christie...I'm glad that you are feeling a little better. Know that we are here for you okay? I promise that is always going to be the case. We're family." Christie smiled and agreed with Gabby when she said that. That's when I heard Noah. "Aunt." Christie then smiled. "Wait, did he just say my name?" Gabby smiled.

"I guess he did. Just don't tell my brother." Christie laughed and smiled. "Of course, I promise. Now listen, you just relax okay? I know you've been under a lot of stress." I agreed with me sister when she said that. "Hey, promise me that you're going to relax too sis." Christie smiled and agreed with me when I told her that. "Of course." She then came to hug me and I just smiled. "Supper later?" I smiled and agreed with her. "That sounds great." Christie just nodded and smiled. "If you need anything, tell me and I will watch the kids." I laughed and smiled, agreeing.

"We'll see. Right now, I want to cuddle up to them. I'll be down in a bit so that I can bring the plates down. But right now, we're going to eat after we feed the kids." Christie nodded and smiled when I said that. Going to walk away again, she just smiled. Meanwhile, I turned to look at Gabby who just came to grab my hand. Intertwining our fingers, she smiled at me. "Your sister seems to be doing better." I nodded and agreed with Gabby when she told me that. "Yeah, and I'm glad. But listen, how about we eat up so that I can get changed and cozy with our lil' family."

Gabby nodded and smiled when I told her that, continuing to feed Sofia for us while we had breakfast as a family this morning.
