Rosa laid on her bed staring at the blank ceiling above her. After Alejandro kicked Kai out of their apartment when he caught them kissing, Rosa rushed to her bedroom to avoid talking to her twin. Not because she was embarrassed of what happened, but because she didn't know how to explain what just happened. Rosa tells Alejandro everything, but she didn't even know how to begin to explain Kai.
She heard a knock on her bedroom door. Rosa laughed, "come in, Alé." The male Valencia walks in and sits beside his twin stretching out his long legs on her bed. "I'm surprised you waited a whole hour before bursting through the doors for an explanation."
Alejandro leaned back against her head board and grabbed one of the pillows Rosa was laying her head on to position behind his back. Rosa's head fell hitting the mattress. She quickly sat up being shoulder to shoulder with Alejandro and smacked her brothers arm. "Alé, you ass!"
"My back needs support okay, it's tired from carrying the team in beer pong tonight," he laughed.
Rosa rolled her eyes at her twin brother. She longed for the nights when she would go with him and party. Rosa hasn't been able to attend events because of her transition but the thing she missed the most was just hanging out with her brother, the boys and Jess. Seth and Marcus were always asking Alejandro where his sister was and the Valencia twin had to lie about her whereabouts. Going out to the bar a couple days ago to meet Kai was the first time in awhile Rosa had gone out to drink.
Rosa has taken notice since she's been feeding off Kai, that her blood lust has been more in control. The blood she craved most was Kai's now. That's why Kai's question to have a sexual relationship caught her off guard because she never had the chance to think about Kai in that way. All that clouded her mind was the blood pulsing through his veins.
Alejandro cut off Rosa's thoughts by speaking, "I want you to know, I didn't kick Kai out of the apartment for some weird overprotective brother reason. From what you have told me, I know your mind gets clouded with your desire for his blood. So, I just wanted to make sure you were good. Plus, I was a little drunk and he always has that smug grin on his face." Alejandro smiled.
Rosa chuckled at her twin. "No, you did right by telling Kai to leave. Things have gotten so complicated with him. It was supposed to be a dine and dash type of relationship for information but now," Rosa paused. "He confused me."
Alejandro nodded looking down towards his sister nudging his shoulder with hers. "Just take your time, hermanita. You don't always have to rush to save them."
Rosa looks up at Alejandro giving him a puzzled look. Alejandro just smiled and said, "don't look at me like that, like you don't know what I'm talking about. Your ex-boyfriend is a prime example? Charming but trouble past."
