A Dalgona Date

My eyes swelled when I saw Jiyoung with those white roses and elegant tux. Napalunok ako. He was superb stunning.. and of course, handsome. Talkin' bout the Bigbang's group leader.

He seems to be waiting for someone. Geezas. Could it be, me? My heartbeat went erratic.

Hate to say this, Chae. Pero wag kang mapo-fall. Never dare to, Chaerin Lee. Not again! That guy groomed in exception is freakin' in a relationship!

As the last three words, 'In-a-relationship' keep echoing to my whole system, I saw a chic. A gorgeous one.

The chic ran towards him and slowly tiptoed to reach for his lips. A kiss. A quick one but... Humigpit hawak ko sa railings ng hagdanan. I recognized pieces of confusion and surprise on Oppa's face but nawala din yon.

Nobody was lucky and witty enough to guess who's the lucky girl at that time. Maybe, if it happened two years ago may mga nakatama sana. Even me, I've got no idea who was the lucky one. I wasn't hurt-- Jinja? Liars go to the deepest pit of hell, Chaerin. Fine! I did but not that much that it could actually kill the baddest female. I am tough. Pfft.

Jiyoung wasn't the sharer or vocal type. He was this privacy-sensitive dude. He never talk or share his feels to someone he isn't comfortable with. That day was an exception. He did just shared his feels to his million followers through a post. Lucky followers. Seems like, people do really change sometimes, eh?

So, am I to consider myself as lucky? Jiyoung did shared something to me... Two years ago.

It was spring. Kaka debut lang ng third album namin non. Jiyoung invited me to go out for a treat. For a job well done, he said.

We were sitted on a pavement infront of a Dalgona stall run by an old man. Oppa treated me to my first Dalgona spree.

I smiled at him. "I like Oppa too. He's daebak!." I took I a bite of my Dalgona. Tastes perfect ten!

"Jinja? Y-You like me..?."

"Yeah," I answered confidently with a nod. "Someday, our group and I will slay charts too. Just like what you and Bigbang does. We'll win MAMA as well."

I was very positive back then that what I want is to slay the charts. Everything is about slaying. To bring 2ne1 on the top of the top. Be a legend like our sunbaes and Oppas.

"I know 2ne1 will make it. Thats an assurance. You deserve it.."

"Thanks, Oppa! Mm.. Can I have the last one?." Turo ko sa huling Dalgona sa box in my most pretty and convincing puffy eyes. He didn't answered and I am taking it as a 'yes'!

I was about to reach for the Dalgona box when he suddenly grabbed me in the arms. Napasimangot ako. Greedy GD. He must have answered 'No'.

"Chaerin Lee, this is serious."

"Seriously, Oppa? Isang pirasong Dalgona pinagdadamot mo sakin?." I glared at him. Not when I want to eat. Nagdabog ako.

He sighed in frustration at inabot yung box sakin. Nag ro-roll eyes pa nga siya eh. Aw! Kyeopta. I gladly took the box and satisfied myself with the last piece of Dalgona we have.

"Thanks," Nagsasalita ako habang ngumunguya. He did smiled and stared at me. Napakurap ako. He was staring at me?

"Yah! What ya starin' at?." I added. Nagsisimula na kasi akong ma-conscious sa tipo nung tingin niya sakin.

"Ring, be my girlfriend."

I stiffed.
