I can't believe his uncle is a detective. I mean of course he is, I finally found a cute, smart, funny guy who isn't fictional. And his uncle is a detective and I'm a spy "that's great" I say with sarcasm. At least Ami handled everything well. But it was clear she was worried no matter how many jokes she made or how much she flirted with Garred, her "boyfriend" even if she won't admit it. As we are walking back to the apartment I hear her sigh. "What's wrong?" I asked her.
"Hm? Nothing, I'm just stressed out and worried. I mean what if they figure it out Ava? What if they figure us out and we get sent away for the rest of time? It's just a lot you know? And we have midterms in like two months."
"Ami come on, they aren't smart enough to catch us. Especially when we are working together. Nothing is going to happen, and anyways now that we know we can be more cautious. Don't worry about it or midterms we'll be fine."
"God I hope you're right." She murmured, looking down at the ground with her hands in her pockets.
When we arrived back at the apartment I headed to the kitchen to see what we had for dinner. "Hey Ami, what are you gonna make for dinner?"
"I was thinking about chili. That's alright?"
"Yep, I'm going to shower and start on some homework. Let me know when the food is done. I'm starving.
"DO THE LAUNDRY!"
"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALREADY!"
As I headed to my room I thought about everything that happened in the last few days. And I can't help but think about whatever it was Ami went back for and why it was so important to her. Whatever, I'll just shower and do some homework.
When I heard Ami calling to me from the other room I left my room and homework and headed to the kitchen. When I walked in I saw a pile of clean laundry on the couch and two bowls out on the kitchen counter and my roommate pouring chili into them.
"You did it!"
"Did what?" Ami asked.
"The laundry! I'm so proud!"
My roommate snorted and sat down at the table with her food. "Why thank you. Now sit down and eat so I can go to my room and do my stupid math homework."
I laughed lightly and sat down with my food. While we ate, we talked about what was going on and decided not to take on any new jobs while we are dealing with the police. We also decided we needed the case files to try and figure out what they know. And to do that we would need the help of Garred and Frédéric, even if he didn't know he was helping.
