44. After Hours

Cassie's 1st Person POV

"Hey, Cassie!" Dami greets me as I enter the tattoo shop.  I walk to the desk where she is sitting, with the computer in front of her.

"Hey, Dami! I thought you would already be out. Yoongi said it's your sister's 21st birthday. Aren't you taking her out?" I am now standing in front of her with my arms resting on the receptionist desk counter.

"I'm actually waiting on my older sister, Della, to pick me up. She's not planning on drinking so she'll be the designated driver for the night! The birthday girl, Lucy, is getting ready at her best friend's house. We're going to pick them up and celebrate just right! Namjoon and Hoseok are even coming along! They're all in the office with Yoongi and Jeongguk." Dami is all smiles while sharing her plans for the night.

Yoongi had told me about Dami and Namjoon and how neither of them have a clue about having feelings for each other. I want to meddle but Yoongi said to let them figure it all out on their own. So, as much as I want to play Cupid, I'll just cross my fingers that those two will confess to each other soon. I think they would be completely adorable together.

"That sounds like such a blast! I remember Jeongguk, my brother, Ross and my best friend, Jin, taking me out for my first drinks at a bar on my 21st birthday. That was a memorable night! You guys will all make Lucy's birthday amazing." I genuinely say to her while mindlessly looking through a book of tattoo designs that is placed on the counter.

"I hope we can make it a fun night for her! Anyway, Yoongi told me, earlier, to have you go into the office. I have to stay out here to watch the door and turn people away since we are closing in a couple minutes. I had this drunk couple that showed up right before you came in. They were not sober whatsoever and it took a while to get them out with the help of Namjoon. They were kind of hilarious though so it made the night amusing." Dami laughs as she tells me the story of how they kept asking for weird tattoo ideas and Namjoon was stern and got them out of their shop.

"That sounds like a nuisance to deal with but at least they were entertaining." I say back to her as I walk towards the office. "Anyway, I hope you have a good time celebrating Lucy's birthday!"

When I'm right be the office door, I twist the knob and open it. When I enter the office, I am met with a room full of men stopping what they were discussing. They all have their eyes on me.

"Oh, it's only Cassie," Jeongguk utters out to the other guys in the room- Yoongi, Namjoon and Hoseok. He sounded relieved.

"Wow, sounds like you're not excited to see me," I say teasingly while I glare at Jeongguk.

"Babe, I didn't mean it like that," he says as he waves me over to him. I shrug and walk towards him and settle on the couch to sit beside him.

"Cassie, we thought you were Dami," Yoongi starts to explain and Hoseok continues.

"We were talking about how Namjoon should make his move on Dami tonight," Hoseok blurts out, earning him a shove on the shoulder from Namjoon.

"I don't want everyone to know!" Namjoon reprimands Hoseok.

"Cassie already knows you have a thing for Dami," Yoongi tells Namjoon, causing Namjoon to shake his head.

"So, everyone knows? That's great," Namjoon chuckles in slight annoyance.

"Not everyone, Dami doesn't know!" Jeongguk jests.

"Your secret is safe with me, Namjoon! I think you should confess or at least ask her on a date!" I suggest a little too enthusiastically. I'm so completely Team Damjoon!
