ELENA drove with her niece and nephew to the hardware store, Max in his flashy Honda behind them (which made Elena's old Civic look pathetic.).

They parked up, and Max went in to get the parts he needed. Before they had left, he took a quick look at her car, and assessed what he needed.

Whilst he was in the store, Elena turned to her niece and nephew. "How do you like Max?"

Junior piped up from behind, "He's cool! The next world champion!"

Elena chuckled at Junior's enthusiasm. "What about you Carlota?"

"He talks funny." she said, slightly bemused.

"He's from the Netherlands. He's got a different accent to us." she informed her niece. "But apart from that?"

"He's cool." she said smiling up at her Aunt.

"Good, 'cause your Dad's now best buddies with him, so you're gonna' have to put up with him." she joked.

The reactions from the two kids couldn't have been more different. Junior looked amazed and excited, where as Carlota scrunched up her face. "All the time?" she whined.

Elena had to refrain herself from laughing as Max knocked on the window. She rolled it down and looked up at him. "Got everything?"

He nodded and lifted his hand, shaking her the parts. "You're gonna' have to get the kids out of the car whilst I do this. It's might be difficult."

Elena opened the door, getting out of the car and walking towards the back door. "Thought you said it was an easy fix?" she teased.

Max gave her a sarcastic smile. "Not with two whiny kids in the back.

"We aren't whiny!" Chorused the siblings as Elena opened the door.

Elena laughed, earning herself a glare from the dutchman. She turned back to the kids. "Okay, out you get. Max has got to do the work."

MUCH to her dismay, it was an easy fix for him to make. Part of Elena was happy that her problem was fixed, the other part of her wanted to slap the smug look right of Max's face.

"Stupid egotistical driver." she thought to herself, as Max emerged from the car, a smirk on his face. "Well, I believe I fixed that in what, half an hour?" she said, asking her for confirmation.

"It was 35 minutes actually so..." she said, giving him a sarcastic smile.

She was leaning against his car, the kids sat in the back with the door next to Elena open. Max walked over to her, and reached around her to open the passenger side door. His arm brushed against her's as he placed the tools on the passenger seat.

When he stood back up straight, they made eye contact for a few moments, before Carlota perked up from the back seats. "Can we go to the play centre now if Max fixed the car?"

Elena turned to the two kids, gesturing for them to get back into her car. "Yeah come on." she said, Junior and Carlota jumped out of the car, walking over to Elena's Civic.

El turned back to Max, "Follow me along the road. The centre isn't too far from here."

He nodded and got in his car, doing as Elena said, and following her down the road, towards the large kid's play centre.

When he parked up next to Elena and got out of the car, he could see the expressions on both the kid's faces, and smiled to himself.

Elena ushered them both in to the centre, signing them in, before they walked into the large, warehouse type structure, with lots of different play areas.
