Nico's POV:
Breakfast was boring apart from the fact that Percy was actually eating. He hasn't eaten since recovering from throwing up. Now that I think of it, neither have I.
We both get completely different meals. I ordered frittata and he ordered blue berry pancakes. Not blue-berry. Blue. Berry. Like berry pancakes but make it blue.
He has syrup all over his mouth. I laugh and grab a napkin, using it to clean off as much as I could.
When I realised what I was doing, I stopped and laughed a bit.
I placed a hand on the bench to balance myself as I ate and felt Percy cover it with his own.
(#writing gay fanfics while at the dentist with my grandmother)He leant into my ear and whispered.
Grover's POV:
I watched as Percy whispered something into Nico's ear and they both stood up.I was puzzled, Nico wouldn't leave during breakfast even if his life depended on it. He once said that he had stepped out of the kitchen while at a friend's for breakfast and he had come back in to see their mother holding a knife to their throat.
I decided to follow them.
"I'll be right back you guys, just need to check on something." I say, pushing myself up out of my seat and running off.
I run after the two and duck into some bushes to avoid being seen.
I watch the two walk down to the beach. Percy must be going to sea his father...but why was Nico there?
I watch Percy take Nico's hand before they both walk under water.
Nico's POV:
Percy and I submerged ourselves in the sea. I loved the feeling of waves forming and breaking around us.We bubble swam down to Poseidon's place and knocked on the door.
"Hello boys!" Nept-Posei- Percy's father greeted us.
Percy stared him in the eyes and I give him a small wave.
"Hello father."
"Percy. Please step inside you two!"
He smiles and leads us inside and into a study the size of the pavilion and the beach combined."Please sit down. I shall return in a few minutes. Feel free to look around." Poseidon walk/floats out and Percy and I sit down.
"Hold on." Percy said, swimming over to what looked to be a light switch and pressed it.
The water in the room slowly drained of water and Percy waded over to me.
He grabbed my hand and dragged me to a bookshelf.
The room was completely dry. I watched Percy skim book titles until he found what he was looking for. He pulled out a huge book.
"My father always said that he had this, I never believed him but he said it's what's kept Olympus standing all these centuries."
He showed me the cover.
'Every Monster Known;A complete collection'
"I couldn't help but check." Percy said, using his empty hand to scratch the back of his neck.
"Let's look then. Fact check the ones we've fought in our camps."
Percy nodded and we sat on a sofa.
He opened the huge, thick book onto the index.
"Minotaur, Minotaur, Ah, Minotaur." Percy said, flipping to the page about the Minotaur.
"It's horns are quite lose but are still connected. Removing them may serve a useful distraction if engaging on 1 on 1 combat. If fighting in a group of 3 or more, have one person grab its horns and pull them down towards the ground. Have another person secure the ankles and then you can stab it easily."
"Checks out." Percy shrugged.
"You've fought a Minotaur?!"
"Yep. On my first day finding out I was a demi god, and before I even reached camp."
My jaw slackened. That was pretty cool.
"Hmm..." Percy pondered while panning the pages. "Looks like most of what Kate said was true..."
"Who?"
"Keto. Long story..."
I nod.
We spend our time waiting for Poseidon, reading through the book.
"You know who would love this book?"
"Who?"
"Ella! She loves books. She can memorised them word for word, page for page, cover for cover. It's actually pretty cool."
I nod.
Poseidon walks in.
"Sorry for keeping you waiting boys! I needed to grab something...or should I say, someone."
Poseidon stepped to the side to reveal Tyson standing anxiously behind him.
When he saw Percy, he speed walked over and wrapped his arms around him.
"Good to see you too Tyson," Percy said, patting the cyclops' back.
"I heard about...Gabe, from father, he said it'd be best if I knew so I don't hurt you."
"It's fine Tye, feel free to visit the cabin sometime. Just give me a heads up if you do."
Tyson nods and lets go of me.
"Now, Tyson feel free to leave or stay. Boys we need to discuss the whole situation. Are you keeping?"
I look over at Percy who says.
"No.
But we are." Percy said wrapping his arm around mine.
I smile and Poseidon looks relieved.
"So you're saying you want young Di Angelo to raise your child?" Poseidon taunts.
Percy goes red and jumps away from me on the sofa. Poseidon and I laugh at this sudden change in tune.
