Hitting Reset Season 6: The Pandemic Begins

Chapter 372

Jay's POV: Once me and Erin went to get the kids, I smiled as I walked down with Jayson in my arms while he carried some of his toys. I didn't know whether Hank was going to be able to but...there are times where he likes to get on the ground with Jayson and play with him. And I am sure that Jayson would love it if Hank did that with him today. He absolutely loves his grandpa. And honestly, so does Emma. They both love hugging him and it's very hard to steal them away from him. And that's why I always keep Emma far away from Hank. She's mine.

"You do realize that Hank is going to want to hold Emma right?" I turned to look at her when she said that and just took a breath. "And you realize that I am going to want to hold her instead right?" Erin agreed with me when I said that and just nodded. "Right." I smiled when Erin told me that before walking over to her. I then proceeded to wrap my arm around her and just smiled as I went to kiss her softly. Taking it slow with me, Erin went to wrap her arm around me and smiled as she went to kiss me softly. Taking it nice and slow with her, I just smiled at her.

Going to kiss her forehead, I smiled because I knew that we needed to calm down. I mean, her dad's here and this is probably not what she wants to see. And speaking of her dad, he came out right away. "If it isn't my grandkids." Turning to look at him, I smiled and then walked over to him. "Which one do you want?" Hank smiled when I told him that. "How about I hold Emma?" I then took a breath and just sighed. Meanwhile, Erin went to slap my arm. "Jay, hand her over. We can put Jayson down and we can cuddle. Hank...don't say anything. I want Jay to hold me."

Hank agreed with Erin when she said that. "Of course Erin, and that is your right." I smiled and agreed with Hank when he said that. I then went to go give Emma to Hank so that he can pick her up. I then smiled as I went to kiss her cheek softly. "There we go baby girl, you just cuddle up to your grandpa Hank." Hank then smiled at me. "What do you say we all sit down here?" I agreed with Hank when he asked me that and just smiled. "That sounds great. Maybe we can just relax and stuff." I nodded and agreed with him when he told me that. "No work yet please."

Hank agreed with me when I said that and just smiled at me. "Trust me, that is the last thing I am thinking about right now. There is a lot more stuff that's on my mind other than that." I agreed with him when he said that and just smiled. I knew that he was worried about this. Most importantly, he was worried about Erin since she was pregnant. Walking over to the ouch, I smiled as I went to sit down. Coming to do the same Erin smiled as she came to sit with me. Wrapping my arm around her, I smiled and went to put my ring hand on her baby bump.

"So, twins eh?" Erin laughed and agreed with Hank when he asked us that. "Yeah. But that's going to be a lot of fun." I agreed with Erin when she said that and just smiled as she went to grab my hand. "Best part...our kids are going to have best friends for life." I nodded and agreed with Erin when she said that because I knew that was the honest to god truth. Hank then smiled. "By the way, I spoke to Olive recently Erin and she sends her congrats." Erin laughed when he said that. "Trust me Hank, I keep in touch with her. She already texted me with pictures."

Hank laughed and smiled when Erin said that. "God, he is growing so fast." Erin smiled and agreed with him when he said that. "He definitely is. I am so sad that Justin never got to really know him." Hank then took a breath and just agreed with Erin when he said that. "Me too." I then took a breath when I saw Rex start sniffing him. That's when he went to curl up at his feet. "Oh c'mon, how come he always goes to sit down with others?" Erin laughed when I said that and smiled. "Oh stop being so jealous Jay. You know that Rex loves you the most." I agreed, smiling.

I then looked at Erin. "But I love you the most." Erin smiled and agreed with me when I said that. She then went to put her hand on my cheek and just stroke it. Leaning in, she went to kiss me and smiled as I went to take it nice and slow with her. "I love you." I smiled and agreed with Erin when she told me that. "I love you too." Erin just smiled when I said that and just agreed with me. "Sorry, the hormones Hank." Hank laughed and agreed with Erin when she said that. He then looked at her and just smiled when she said that. "Yeah, I figured that was the case."

I smiled and agreed with Hank when he said that. "Always is the case." Hank nodded and smiled. "How are you taking all of this Erin? I know that you must be worried." Erin nodded and agreed with Hank when he said that. "What do you expect Hank? I'm pregnant, have 2 young kids and now, we're in the middle of a pandemic." Going to grab Erin's hand, I went to intertwine our fingers and just took a breath. "You okay?" Erin sighed and just looked at me. I then went to kiss her hand and just sighed because I Knew that she was scared. Heck, I was scared right now.

"You know that you can lean on me right Erin?" Erin agreed with me when I said that and just went to wrap her arm around me. She then laid her head down on my shoulder while I went to kiss her forehead softly. Looking down at her, I smiled as I went to kiss her softly. "You okay Erin?" Erin sighed and just looked at me. "I guess my dad being here just made this more real." Hank got worried when she said that. "You're scared right now aren't you Erin?" Erin agreed with her dad when he asked her that and just took a breath. "Of course I am Hank. Our kids are at risk."

I agreed with Erin when she told me that and just nodded. I knew that she was worried and I just hoped that she would open up to me more. She needs to talk to me and I just hope that I can help her out. She needs to know that I'm here for her and that she can lean on me whenever she needs to. That's my job as her husband and there is nothing more that I want to do right now other than give her the help that she needs. If she needs me alone, then we will go take some time alone. That is already guaranteed. I then went to whisper to her. "Want to go upstairs?"

Erin shook her head when I asked her that. "Jay, my dad's here." Hank then took a breath. "Honestly, I was going to set up the office and stuff and unpack. I have a bunch." Erin agreed with her dad when he said that. "However, I wouldn't mind watching the kids for a while. Also, I pretty much knew that you would want some time alone right when I got here today." Erin sighed when he said that. "Are you mad?" Hank shook his head. "Honestly, I'm just glad that you're feeling better. I know that you need to rest. Whatever I can do to help, I will."

I smiled and agreed with him when he said that. "I love that idea Hank. Thanks." He agreed with me and just smiled when I said that. "Well, you guys head upstairs and just relax. But leave the kids, I want some time with them." I laughed and agreed with him. "However, I will make lunch for you guys okay? I know that you guys would like that." I smiled and agreed with him. "I would love that. That sounds perfect." Erin then went to grab my hand and smiled as she went to intertwine our fingers. Meanwhile, I looked at Hank and went to shake his hand. "Thanks."

He agreed with me and just smiled. "Guys, there's another reason I moved in. Sure, you want me here to be safe...but I want to be here to give you a chance to relax. I know that you need to rest a lot more Erin. Your last pregnancy with twins was horrible. First, you had a miscarriage for one of your twins. Then, you gave birth early. Whatever you guys need to make sure that you go as far into the pregnancy that you can, then I am going to do." I smiled and agreed with him. "Thanks Hank. But listen, I am going to take Erin. You have fun with the kids." He agreed.

Turning around, I smiled as I went to grab her hand and intertwined our fingers. I then proceeded to walk away to our room. "You want to grab some lunch on our way upstairs first?" Erin then thought about it and agreed. "Hank, can you feed the kids?" Hank agreed. "I put some pizza on the counter. Let's eat together and then you can go rest. Meanwhile, I can watch the kids." I smiled and agreed with him when he said that. Walking over, I went to grab Emma and just smiled as we all made our way upstairs so that we can go have lunch together. "Rex, c'mon."

Rex agreed with me when I said that and just went to come upstairs with us.
