"Whatever you say, Bella, but this dress is BLOOD ORANGE. Not red."

I scoffed at my best friends idiocy and dropped the subject. If she thought 'blood orange' would go with her shoes better, then i'd let her think what she wanted. Joanna slipped the dress on and happily checked herself out in the mirror.

"Jo, i'm so jealous of you!" I said, side-eyeing her close to perfect figure. "Oh, shut up" she sighed, her smile growing larger. "Your butt is amazing." i gave a quick grin at her compliment, but nothing about me was anywhere close to amazing. I was average.

"Okay, we're already late. We should probably get going if we're still going to stop and grab some coffee before class." Jo said, grabbing her purse. I took one last glance in the mirror before hurrying off toward the door, trying to catch up with the girl in the blood-orange dress walking as if she was on a runway.

I sat down in her Porsche, inhaling the scent of her strong perfume. "A little to much of the body spray, Jo." I said, holding back a cough. She shrugged, turning on the car. "Your only mad because you cant smell like this too!" She laughed and i rolled down the window as quick as i could.

The entire ride to school consisted of Starbucks, music, and talk of Joanna's boyfriend Josh. They were having relationship problems, and i was always the one to hear about it. "...And then he said he didn't want to come over this weekend because he was hanging out with friends. Am i less important to him than those disgusting boys? I just don't understand!"

We pulled into the parking lot of Cross Meadow High School just as i drank the last drop of my coffee. Jo looked down at her phone. "We're about thirty minutes late to school." She said, almost to casually. I shrugged, not caring too much about perfect attendance.

Jo didn't say a word as we walked toward school. She must have thinking about something really important to her, because she never stopped talking. Suddenly, she stopped walking. "Bella, do you think i should-"

Suddenly i heard the screech of car breaks and i felt a hand grab my wrist and pull me aside forcefully.
