You hold your aching stomach as your dad throws your sister on the ground. All of her motions stop. Including her breathing.

No.

Not your baby sister.

Not Kai.

You look up at your dad. He looks satisfied with himself. You get up and bolt out the door of your apartment. You run down the halls. Your dad follows you, calling for you to come back. He laughs as he makes excuses to the neighbors who poke their heads out their doors.

"We are just playing," he says with a laugh.

But you're not laughing.

You're crying.

You run up the fire stairs to the roof. You don't know why you came here, but you did.

You run to the edge as your dad climbs the last stair. You whimper. Your dad steps closer to you slowly, drawing suspense.

You turn an look over the edge of the 23 floor building.

Could you jump?

Possibly.

Would you die.

Most likely.

Is there a point to keep living?

No.

The scars prove it.

You climb the edge.

You look at your dad, tears streaming your face.

For a 7 year old girl, you been through more than kids twice your age.

Without a second thought, you tip back.

Off the building.

Away from your father.

And to your death.

You close your eyes and the wind whistles in your ears.

"Oi, what the fuck is tha-"

"Shit"

Somebody catches you.

You breath heavily, fearing that when you open your eyes, your dad's going to be there.

You whimper softly.

You slowly and hesitantly open your eyes.

Red eyes look deeply into your (e/c) eyes.

"What the fuck?" He growls.

You close your eyes and bury yourself in his arms as you hear your dad running out the door.

"Oh my God! I thought you were hurt!" He says, grabbing you. You fight back.

"No! No take! Help!" You scream. The blonde hero grabs you back.

"Sorry about her. (Y/N) tends to be stubborn," your father says, giving you a firm glare that clearly says, 'do you want what your sister got?'

You keep crying.

The hero looks at you.

"Is he your parent?" He asks.

You hesitate.

You can lie and say he isn't and leave that hell hole.

Or you can say yes and go back.

But father would be made if you lied.

You nod.

The hero hands you to your dad.

"Thank you," he says as he turns and walks back into the apartment building.

"You will be punished for that."
