"Dee, I'm Audi!"

Cher waved goodbye to her best friend and partner in crime Dionne Davenport once she realized that she and her boyfriend Murray would begin one of their daily fights. She smiled to herself, shaking her head. How did Dionne put up with it? She could do way better. As soon as Murray saw her, he accused her of cheating on him over the weekend because she wouldn't answer his pages! Dionne would never. It wasn't her fault that her grandma was way old fashioned and wouldn't let her use it whenever she visited.

High school boys were like that, she supposed. They were like dogs, considering how much they drooled and slobbered over people. Oh, and you had to constantly clean up after them too!

"Hey-" A boy had slung an arm over Cher's shoulder, causing her to cringe in disgust.

"Ew, get off me!" Cher exclaimed, roughly shoving the boy into a nearby rack of bikes. She was not interested in getting to know him, "Ugh, as if!" Despite her utter distaste for guys like him, she did have to give him snaps for his courageous attempt at trying to talk to her even if he did fail miserably.

Cher walked into the air condition school building, making her way through the crowded hallway to get to her debate class. She really wished that she could part the sea of students like Moses or like the popular girls in movies did, but alas, that wasn't the case.

"Hey, Cher!" Someone exclaimed from behind her. She turned to see her neighbor Ali Mills jogging to catch up to her, clutching her textbooks in her arms.

"Ali! How was your weekend?" She grinned, slowing down to talk to her.

"It wasn't bad." Ali shrugged, "How come I didn't see you at the beach party yesterday?"

"I wanted to go, but Daddy finally agreed to take a break and stretch his legs. Obviously, I wanted to go with him. We can meet up at the country club this Friday if you want?"

"I can respect that, and sure! I want to tell you about this guy I met at the party."

"And why wasn't that the first thing you mentioned after greeting me? Is he cute?"

"Because I knew that he'd be the only thing you'd focus on. Yeah, he's pretty cute. I didn't catch his name though."

"Well, tell me about him at lunch! I want to hear more about this mysterious guy."

"Alright, see you later then!" With that, Ali entered her history class taught by Ms. Geist.

Though they weren't best friends and didn't run in the same social circles, Cher did enjoy Ali's presence. She was a genuinely nice person, and she got extra snaps for being one of the few people who could and wouldn't hesitate to stand up to Amber Mariens.

She entered Mr. Hall's class with a smile, taking a yellow stick of gum out of her bag. After popping it in her mouth, she scanned the class to see who was present. There was Murray's friend Sean, Summer talking to Elton, the aforementioned Amber Mariens who was filing her nails, Felice Lesser.. and of course, those two boys who sat in the back. She couldn't remember their first names, but she knew their last names were Lynch and Dutch. Those two could be pretty rowdy, so she tended to avoid them.

She sat in her usual seat, and Sean immediately pushed his desk closer to hers.

"Hey, where's Murray and Dee?"

"Probably still fighting in the front of the school. He accused her of jeeping."

"No he didn't!" Sean gasped in surprise.

"He totally did! It turns out she found someone else's hair extension in the back of his car."

"I warned Murray about that." The boy shook his head in disappointment, taking off his hat.
