A year has passed and it's time for the gift ceremonies to begin! Everyone inside Casita was running around and preparing for the first celebration since the triplets got their gifts.
Since the ceremonies were getting closer by the day the family was in a constant state of panic since they were trying to get everything up and ready for the big day. But everyone was even more stressed and panicked with the fact that only two months after Isabela’s ceremony it would be Dolores's turn and a month later it would be Yaira’s.
And before anyone knew it, the big day had arrived, Isabela's ceremony was today and no one was sure if it would turn out ok, everyone did their part and tried to make it as perfect as possible since it was the first one in over three decades and Abuela would be mad if it wasn't.
Bruno was in the nursery sitting on the floor while taking care of the kids, at first he tried to help but before he could do anything he was shut down and was told to take care of the kids for the time being.
So here he was looking after six kids who were gushing out about the decorations and the people who were starting to enter the Casita, bringing in instruments and even more decorations that were needed for the ceremony.
"Tío Bruno! Tío Bruno!" Isabela ran up to him and shook his arm. He turned to look at his niece "Isabela, ¿qué paso?" He asked quirking an eyebrow.
Isabela fidgeted where she stood, the normally confident and calm Isabela was nervous and with good reason. Ever since she was born she was labeled as the oldest and mature grandchild; she was supposed to be perfect seeing as she was a Madrigal so today must be a very stressful day for her too.
"I- I wanted to ask if y-you could ᵇʳᵃⁱᵈ ᵐʸ ʰᵃⁱʳ ..." The last part was barely audible but he managed to hear it.
Bruno might not be as close to both his sister's family but that didn't mean that he wouldn't help them or do some favors for them.
Patting the floor he nodded, the young girl beamed and sat down her back facing him. He turned around and started to braid her hair, he might not look like it but he knows how to style hair, I mean, when you live in a family mostly consisted of women with long and curly hair someone has to help them.
When he was younger he helped his sisters style their hair whenever Mamá couldn't, and he never minded doing it, actually now that he's older he's glad he learned how to since he's the one who combs his kid's hair daily.
"Mija, can you pass me those two ribbons?" He turned to Emma and pointed at two violet ribbons that were on the counter. She nodded and handed them to him. "Gracías." smiling she said "Denada!" and returned to drawing with Luisa and Dolores.
Bruno tied the ribbons at the end of the two braids and made little bows with them, at the end Isabela had two braids with purple bows holding them. Isabela looked at them and her eyes sparkled "Thank you Tío Bruno, thank you!" She hugged him tightly before going to her cousins and showed off her new braids.
The girls were in awe and his kids had pride written all over their faces at the fact that their dad was the one who made their cousin's hair all pretty.
After that, they all stayed in the nursery for a long while until the door opened hours later, and in came Abuela, Julieta, and Pepa. "Thank you mijo for looking after the kids. We'll take it from here." Alma said to Bruno who nodded. If they were here that meant that it was almost time for the ceremony and that his mother would tell the story about how they got the miracle to Isabela.
