synopsis :a coastal town known for its legends of the mermaids that once belonged, are greeted with the arrival of a mysterious boy ( in a town where everyone knows everyone ) who proves this folklore all too true. the conflict between land and sea takes a sanguinary veer in direction as these predatory beings return to reclaim their right to the ocean.
warnings : this book may include cursing, discrimination, violence, gore, mentions/attempts of rape and/or sexual assault, crude humor, classism, homophobia, ableist comments, drugs, alcohol, smoking, characters acting irrationally, potentially sexual themes, forms of self-harm, jealousy, etc.
