"Riley, sweetie?"

"Yeah Mom?" A young boy with messy blond hair turned from his current recreation and looked at his mother.

"Do you know where your brother is?"

The boy looked back to his toy business on the floor. "I think he's at Charlotte's." Just then, the boy in speak of entered through the back door with a girl dressed in jeans and a t-shirt and black hair, followed by a little boy of about five years. Charlie ran around the kitchen with the girl on his heels, all of them laughing. The girl tapped Riley's head as she ran by his seat on the floor. "Tag, you're it, Riley!" She cried, and she and Charlie ran back through the door, giggling, while the younger boy stayed put.

"Daniel, aren't you gonna run? Riley's gonna get you!" The girl with black curls protested.

"No, I wanna stay with Miss Robinson." He pouted. The woman lifted the boy onto the counter. "That's alright Charlotte, Daniel can stay with me and help me make lunch!" The boy smiled happily, and Charlotte shrugged. "Ok, whatever. Riley, aren't you gonna get us?"

Riley shot up from his knees and took off through the door, running after them as fast as he could with a smile growing wider on his face the nearer he got to them.

"Haha! I'm gonna get you guys!" He pulled a wooden sword out of a children's sized play sheath and tagged Charlotte. "Hey! That's cheating!" She cried, plopping onto the ground to catch her breath. "You guys never said it was!" Riley grinned. Charlie dropped to his knees next to the girl. "What, are you tired already? Must be because you're only nine."

"Hey! I'm turning ten next month! You guys are mean." She commented it with a happy smile only kids can have when they're enjoying their time with their best friends.

"Alright, fine, we'll stop." Charlie looked up to his brother with a smile.

"Well, I won't!" Riley grinned again, tackling the girl to the ground. The girl screamed and laughed, taken by surprise.

"Oh no! Don't worry Charlotte, I'll save you!" Charlie whipped his own wooden sword out of the sheath on his hip and dove at Riley. "Get away from her!"

"Never!" Riley growled, despite his attempts to hold back the laughter and pretend he really was a dangerous person. "I'll never let you have her! She's mine, and I'm gonna take her back to the castle and throw her in the dungeons!"

"No! Please, I beg you for mercy!" Charlotte cried out, giggling uncontrollably.

"I'll never let you do that to my fair princess! I shall saveth her from your evileth hands!"

Riley swung his sword at his twin, who dodged and ran the opposite direction. "Hey! Get back here, Charlie!" Riley chased after him all around the yard in a circle, before Charlie made it around to Charlotte and grabbed her hand. "Come along, fair maiden! We must goeth into the woodseth to hide!" She laughed with him, and they ran into the woods with Riley close on their heels.

Suddenly the boy tripped over the growth on the untrailed forest floor and tumbled to the ground. He scrambled back up and looked around to find his brother and friend were gone.

"Come out, come out, wherever you art!" He hollered, and heard giggling from about ten feet ahead of him. He snuck through the trees and bushes, trying to be as quiet as he could. He crept forward to where he heard the noise, preparing himself to pounce on the duo before they could run away again.

But then he heard a yell and he was tackled to the ground before he was five feet to the tree where the sound had originated from. He saw blond hair and heard his brothers cackle as he crashed to the ground with someone on top of him. He tried to shove his brother off, but Charlotte ripped his sword out of his hand and grabbed his wrists. He tried to pull them out of her grasp but was unable. The boy finally laughed and relaxed his muscles, catching his breath.
