Note:

Not sure what this story really is. Something to pass my boredom with, more than likely. Of course this is going to be about the famous Jack Frost (from Rise of the Guardians). Hopefully I can find some time to edit this and such.

It wouldn’t stop snowing

Which was weird, since it never snowed, well, at least in my dreams, that is.

The animals would always be playing with each other in the snow with the warm sun shining brightly as I'd be wondering white forest. From ducking my head to avoid those nasty branches to jumping onto replicated branches like the others I'd encounter, I would always see the path before me. A landscape filled with snow and animals with trees all around, cluttered with even more snow and every now and then, a squirrel. Everything was calm and peaceful, so when the animals had suddenly stopped playing and quickly began to run away, a worried brow suddenly made its way upon my face.

‘Nothing to worry about, Yuuki; They probably all just got tired and went home.’ I whispered to myself as I jumped down from one of the branches. ‘..probably just went to the waterhole..’

Playing around for such a long time, they would need a break, so of course they would be at the watering hole. Just in case though, I quickly walked towards the large pond that most animals went too. In that moment, when I saw the pond, all of my concerns quickly vanished as I saw a baby deer drinking from the pond ahead of me; its tongue lightly taking in the colourless water.

‘I knew it!' I proclaimed happily. "But why did all of your friends run away, little one?’ It was unusual for only one animal to be here.

It had stopped drinking for a moment, as it looked up at me then quickly began backed away. The way that it looked at me, like I was some sort of monster, made my blood run cold. Was something wrong with me? This never happened before..

As it scampered off into the forest, I quickly ran to the side of the pond to reveal my reflection. Could there be something wrong with my face? My eyes? Fear began to ebb its way into my brain as I gathered the white dress around my ankles and pulled it up to my chest. I bent down  towards the water, my long hair lightly introducing itself into the water, as I looked at myself.

White and blond hair curved around my oval face, casting a shadow over my features, making them seem more defined, as the rest of my hair span in curls around me. The red hooded cloak that I had drew myself in, made my cheeks and nose seem a lot more redder, making them  very more prominent. My icy blue eyes had matched themselves with my full blue lips, which gave off an impression that I was somewhat blind and dead. This wasn’t my reflection…This wasn’t me.

For all but a moment, I studied the picture of my own reflection until I heard a nasty crack somewhere behind me. The sound of someone breaking a large branch but ten times louder with a spine chilling silence afterwards. A sound that made me drop my light dress and cringe at the sound. Then the snow had came, blocking much of my line of sight as possible, as the infamous sound came once again, but much closer.

Need to get away.

The only thought that echoed throughout my whole body as I suddenly jumped into the water and began my retreat. What was happening?!

Branches became my mortal enemy then, as I began to run directly into the forest, not bothering to look back or make my way around the small branches that blocked my way. Slap after slap, the branches each leaving a small red reminder of their presence on me, as I continued to make my escape. The branches were grabbing onto me, my hair, my clothes, trying to keep me from escaping this...intruder. Then footsteps began to make themselves prominent from the crushing of the snow that quickly followed mine.

"FAIRY..."

The voice wasn't human, it was the furthest thing away from a human sound. As it continued to scream more and more, I had hid myself in a rose bush beside another pond. The snow offering somewhat of a disguise from this beast. Though, the beast didn't stop as it began to push the trees away from its path and causing that inhuman scream.

That was when I woke up.

..but not in my own room.
