"Sam, Sam, Sam!" Cat shrieked as she opened the pretty pink envelope that had been left in between their front door. "Hmm?" Sam hummed back in return, she had been eating her favorite chicken once again. "Look! I got a card back from someone." Cat happily said with a huge smile on her face as her fingers slowly opened it. Sam looked at her confused as she dropped the piece of chicken she was holding into the bin. "Who's the special person?" Sam asked as she stood up from the couch. "I have no idea!" Cat replied as she finally got the card that had been stored inside the envelope in her hands. "Great." Sam sarcastically said as she walked over to the fridge.
"Here i'll read it aloud." Cat cleared her voice as she spoke, holding the card up above her and putting on her best formal voice. "Do we plead you to announce to the ball this beautiful evening night, let the stars shine upon your dress. Find a perfect boy to take with you and the prize you might like." Sam listened and cringed at the sound of Cat's voice while she poured a cup of apple juice. "What does that mean?" Sam raised her eyebrows in confusion, though she got used to it since it's not like Cat ever made any sense with words.
"I don't know, maybe there's something on the back?" Cat flipped the card as she inspected any letters that could be turned into words. "Probably.." Sam chimed in as she raised the glass of apple juice to her mouth and drank it. "Oh! Okay, here's one. It says, come to the dance that's being held today." While Cat read those words she didn't make her voice formal this time. "What dance?" Sam said as she placed the glass down on the counter. "I think my school was having a dance tonight, I'm not sure!" Cat carefully placed the card on the coffee table.
"Hey, hey, hey! It's your favorite teenager." Dice opened the door and made an awkward pose to his weird statement. "Ah- okay. Dice do you know anything about a dance happening tonight?" Sam asked as she walked towards Cat. "Yeah, you mean the one with the weird riddle." Dice asked as he held up a similar pink envelope that almost looked identical to Cat's. "Yeah." Sam sat on the couch while she changed the channel with the remote. "It's just for the high school dance, nothing is really special about it. It's almost like prom but instead its for every age." Dice explained while he sat down on the couch next to Sam.
"Should we go?" Cat asked as she took Sam's glass of apple juice and poured it out in the sink. "What do you mean 'we'?" Sam laid back as she asked her question, while Dice on the other hand stayed sitting. "Well, you know. To the dance? Don't you think it'll be fun." Cat put the glass in the sink and turned on the faucet. "That card said it had something to do with boys, so no way." Sam grabbed the remote and turned off the TV causing Dice to let out a groan in frustration.
"Really?! You turned it off at the best part." Dice yelled as Sam got up to go to the bathroom. "Here's an idea, why don't you go home and watch TV at your house. Then maybe you wouldn't have to worry about others turning the TV off." Sam angrily responded as she left the living room, leaving Dice annoyed.

"Sam! Look at this dress that I got for the dance tonight." Cat excitedly ran out into the living room and twirled in the pink poofy dress she had on. "You're going to that thing?" Sam asked as she watched Cat smile at her. "Well of course I'm going! It's a dance, and you should come as well." Cat smiled as she sat down next to Sam at the table. "And why would I go to a pretty pink fantasy dance party with you." Sam spoke with annoyance in her voice. "Well because, I'm pretty sure the card said that we had to bring someone." Cat quickly got up from her seat as she went over to the coffee table to check the card again. "No it said that you needed to bring a boy or something." Sam leaned her arm on the table as she watched Cat read the card again.
"Yeah, yeah. Right here it says, 'Find a perfect boy to take with you and the prize you might like.'" Cat repeated the words off the card and her eyes admittedly darted at Sam when she finished. "So?" Sam said sarcastically as she got up from her seat as well and went over to Cat. "So this means that I have to bring someone." Cat happily smiles as she tried to pull Sam into a hug. "No it says that you have to find a perfect boy to go with." Sam annoyingly slipped out of the hug as she got ready to go into her room again. "But-" Cat started but got cut off by Sam. "No but's, now why don't you find the 'perfect boy' and I'll be watching TV." Sam smiled as she said those words.
"Alright then! But if you ever change your mind, let me know." Cat watched as Sam headed into her room and heard as the door closed behind her. Now the only question is.. Where would she find the perfect boy?
