SOULMATE AU

"Ah! Little bug you are truly a mighty one!" Aquaman applauds, as he pats Blue Beetle's shoulder. "Really? Thanks!" he begins in return, "But I must return to my ocean flower, our son's dolphin race today." The Atlantean smiles. "Where's your soulmate son?" Jaime cringes, "Ah- I uh- don't know. I haven't found them yet.." he confesses. Aquaman frowns," No good! That beauty, man or woman, or creature of the sea is out there! Look, my blue friend! Look!" Aquaman smiles before immediately jumping into the sea, leaving Jaime alone.

"Yep.." he rubs his face before beginning to walk off. He clicks on his communicator. "Batman? You in?"

"I'm a bit busy right now Jaime, What's going on?" "Oh, um I was wondering- you don't have a soulmate do you?" He asked, scratching the back of his suit's neck. 'Loser' his scarab teased him for his lack of answers.

"I'm sorry not now- Cat woman's on the loose again."

Beep

Jaime sighed again and clicked it off. He felt his arm warm up before it formed into the biggest cannon he had ever shot. "Hey! Hey! Scarab turn it off!" he scolds, but to no use. The beam shot across the ocean, leaving explosions behind.

He fell to his knees in surprise, eyes widened. Before everything went black.

Jaime groans to the pounding in his head. The metal taste lingered in his mouth, "Batman?" a few feet stood in front of him.

"New guy, tougher than he looks." a voice said, "Hey! Wake up! You're up in 5!" Jaime rubbed his head and looked up at the sounds. Aliens.
He lets out a scream before falling back. "I'm not part of the Reach!" he yells.

The room was silent before laughter filled it. The group of aliens all laughed in his face. "He's so gonna lose to the bitch." one smirked, letting her hair wave in the motion. He corrects himself and stands up. "Where am I?"

After a few hoof clips, Jaime saw someone familiar. "You- work with Batman! You can tell me where the hell I am!" he cheered. Jonah Hex kept his usual expression and spoke. "Sorry kid, there ain't nothing I can do right now."

"What?!" the others all stood back, in respect or fear. "This is Arena World. Aliens and assassins across the galaxy are captured and forced to fight for the enjoyment of one greedy fat alien scum. He has my lady. I would help you but, I ain't nothing without her no more."

"Okay- but how did I get here?!" Jaime scolds, "A fury. Must've been watching your earth, looking for a champion. To beat Jackalope." he told him. "So I'm fighting some alien.. For what? My freedom?"

"I'm afraid I'm not sure, if you win he might keep ya. But we all know you're a goner. She's a firecracker. Just ready to explode on you." Jonah frowned, "if you lose, and she doesn't kill you- he will. I hope I can help in time, kid."
"Yeah- uh me too."

"You're on Bug!" an alien yelled, grabbing him by the arm and throwing him into a room. "Hey!" Jaime banged on the wall, only for another to open behind him, now holding bars. "Let's see who we're dealing with."

The announcer began to speak up.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, and other dignified species- We return are One and Only....
JACKALOPE!
A therein with a lust for blood! A girl with an iron-clad fist! Undefeated and ready for her next victim!"
Jaime looked through the bars and felt the ping through his heart.
You were his soulmate.
He was about to fight his soulmate.
His alien soulmate.

"And in the meal bowl, we have... The heroic BLUE BEETLE! A holder of the Scarab from the deep- and An apprentice of the Batman! But can he take down our favorite Rabbit?!"
