Chapter Ten:

Sophi's POV:

"This is really nice," I said, smiling at Snake and wrapping my arm around his.

"Thanks," he said to the ticket guy before turning to me and handing me my ticket, "what is?"

"Being out with you. I've really started to enjoy myself since moving down here."

"I'm glad. I've enjoyed myself too," he said with a soft smile.

We handed our tickets to the person inside the door. Before making our way over to the snack counter.

"You want anything?" Snake asked me.

I nodded, reaching into my purse for my cash.

"No, I got it princess."

I smiled at him, "okay. Could you just get me a small coke and some M&Ms? I have to go to the bathroom real quick."

He nodded and let go of my hand.

After I had finished doing everything I needed to and checked my make up, I made my way out of the bathroom. As soon as I stepped out, I ran into someone.

"Oh I'm so sorry," I said, giving a nervous chuckle.

I looked up and my stomach dropped when I saw who it it was. Steven.

He gave me a smile, "No it's fine. I shouldn't have been standing in the way."

I gave him a nod and went to step around him when he stopped me.

"Hey, look. I'm sorry that I've been a bit rude and intrusive. I shouldn't have been such a dick that night," he said giving me a sheepish look.

I shook my head, "it's fine."

"Do you think we could be friends?" he asked with a hopeful look.

I shrugged, "sure."

"Great. I'll see you later, um?"

"Sophi," I told him.

"Sophi. I'll see you later, Sophi," he said with a small wave before walking off.

I made my way back to Snake.

"Everything okay?" he asked looking past me at Steven.

I gave him and smile and took his hand, "yep. Come on. We're gonna miss the movie."

The movie was good. It was one hell of an action movie but it had it's funny points too. Snake dropped me off at my house with plans to bring me into a stream that weekend. I had to work a lot this week so I wasn't going to be able to go out with him.

He gave me a soft kiss before getting back into his car and driving off.

----------•----------

It had been a long week of work and it was finally Saturday. Snake had picked me up that afternoon as we had gotten lunch before grocery shopping and getting some beer and snacks for the stream.

I was currently sipping a beer and watching Snake set up everything. Finally it was time. I took my seat next to Snake.

I was nervous as hell and I couldn't figure out why. It was just a group of people playing video games. Maybe it was the fact that these were all close friends of Snake. Or it could be the fact that almost a million people watched this thing every weekend.

Snake gave my hand a squeeze as he called Cry on Skype. He handed me a cigarette. I lit it and inhaled, letting the smoke fill my lungs. I slowly let out my breath.

Let the madness ensue.
