As soon as the bell lets them out, Lisa tries her best to dash out the classroom, but Jennie doesn't give her a chance.
"Hey, where are you going?" The older tugs at Lisa's jacket sleeve with a frown. "We gotta talk about our project, Lili."
Lisa stares at the hand on her jacket (which was slithering dangerously to her hand), then at the students passing them by as they exit the classroom. Smirks and envious expressions were thrown their way, and Lisa was uncomfortable with the extra attention.
She releases a long sigh before replying, "Can we talk about this later? I... I don't really like everyone looking at us like..." she whispers out, causing Jennie to look up to see the exact reason Lisa was so anxious. She smiles sheepishly as she meets some familiar peers' eyes.
"Yeah, of course. Just text me later," Jennie whispers back. Lisa furrows her eyebrows.
"I don't have your number."
"Sure you do. I wrote it somewhere in your notebook when we were passing notes." Jennie shoots her a quick wink before sauntering off towards the cafeteria.
"I can't believe the sole reason you abandoned Joohyun and I was to get with Jennie Kim," Rosie sighed as she plopped her lunch tray on the table. Her irritated appearance however, turned into one of mischief. "You sly cat! I knew you had it in you!"
Joohyun snickers teasingly, nudging at Lisa's side as the girl herself was training her eyes onto her phone. "Getting caught in Lee Daehwi's bathroom and having the star dancer herself walk you home. What kind of magic did you work in there, Lis?"
Lisa continues to type and delete words furiously as she taps on her phone screen. When she doesn't get an answer, Joohyun peeks at Lisa's phone. She darts her eyes up at Rosie.
"Lover girl here is busy texting the devil herself. Or, well, attempting to."
Rosie gasps scandalously, crossing her arms with a huff as Lisa embarrassedly sets her phone face-down. "Seriously? Didn't you just come from class with her?"
"I need to set up a schedule with her to work on our literature project together," Lisa explains shyly. "I don't know what to say to her. Every time I type something, I end up sounding like Lumiere."
Joohyun peeks at her screen and snorts. "You're worse than a boomer trying to learn how to use a smartphone – you're the reincarnation of an 18th century wannabe-poet."
Rosie rolls her eyes before snatching the phone out of Lisa's hand, typing a quick text before handing it back to the panicked girl. "There, sent. Now you just have to respond to whatever she says, since you suck at initiating things."
Lisa knits her eyebrows. "I wrote a letter to her first!"
"That wasn't you, Lis. That was Lumiere."
"Is there really a difference?" Joohyun inquires.
Lisa's eyes almost fall out of her head when she reads what Rosie had sent. "Why did you send a kissing emoji? I don't text like this!"
"The alliteration is spot on though, Ms. Literary Technique Freak."
Then, Lisa's phone dings.
