Bokuto's POV

"Finally, the ice is clearing up a bit. I thought it'd never start melting..." Kuroo sighed in relief, but pursed his lips in annoyance once he realized I wasn't listening. I couldn't help it, I glanced around the club room again.

"What's got you so distracted?"

"It's Tuesday, Shouyou should be here! Are you not worried?!"

"Chill, my guy, maybe he got held up in class or some-" Kuroo's words were interrupted by the door creaking open. Shouyou peaked through and sighed in relief. He seemed awfully red and out of breath.

"Thank God I'm not that late... I thought I wouldn't make it..."

"Shouyou~! You scared me~!" Bokuto went to jump on him, Kuroo grabbed him by the shoulder and moved a bit closer to Shouyou to place a skeptical hand on his forehead.

"God, you're burning up! Are you okay?!"

He pulled his hand away, Bokuto watched Shouyou inhale sharply and give a wobbly smile. "Yeah! It's probably because I ran across campus to get here, haha! Thanks for the concern though, Kuroo-Senpai!"

"Awe~! No need to thank me! Just doing my job as your favorite senpai~!"

That got Bokuto angry enough to start a loud argument with the sly Kuroo-Senpai. As the two fought, Shouyou felt a wave of dizziness hit him.

How odd... I'm sure it'll go away soon... At the very least, I can last until after practice.

He dressed into his practice clothes and left the clubroom. Bokuto and Kuroo raised a brow at each other in suspicion of their kouhai's odd behavior.

third-person POV

-----

Oh, Shouyou was not doing so hot. He was shivering because it was cold, right? His body ached because he kept tripping up during drills, right?

Right?

Wrong.

He was leaning against the wall, hands on his knees and breathing unevenly. His body seemed to sway a bit, but it might've just been because of the way he was standing. Probably.
