When the Milan fashion week ended I didn't expect Flynn to visit me in New York, in LA and he even went to some of my shoots. Kapag nasa mga fashion show ako pumupunta din siya.

"Are you dating Flynn?" Dom asked. May mga panahon ding pinipili kong umuwi sa LA, sa bahay ni Chloe, I felt home when I'm with them. Sobrang busy rin kasi ni Wendy na halos hindi kami nagkikita.

"Can't I?"

"Hindi naman, nagtatanong lang," ngumiti siya. "If you're dating, that's like how long already? Kasi isang taon ko na siyang nakikitang dumadalaw sa iyo dito."

"Why are you asking?"

He shrugged. "Jus is out of this topic if you think that I'm his spy or whatever. I rarely talk to your dog."

I rolled my eyes, natawa pa si mokong.

"No longer mine," I said truthfully.

"You think?"

Natapos yung usapan namin noong nakatanggap kami ng tawag galing sa Pinas. It was from my mom, she was crying as if she lost a child.

"Mom, what is it? I can't hear you properly," I muttered. Her sobs increased.

"Umuwi ka muna, anak," paki-usap niya. "Nasa OR si Jus."

"Of course, mom," I calmed down. "He's an orthopedic surgeon, malamang nasa OR siya."

"No. He got shot this morning," she said. Napatayo ako agad. Nagulat din si Dom sa biglaang akto ko.

"Why?" he mouthed.

"Ano pong nangyari?"

"Your mother-in-law just called me, hindi ko pa alam. Umuwi ka muna, anak. Your husband needs you," mom's voice was begging. "Please, baka magsisi ka kapag may hindi magandang nangyari. Go home. I think it's critical."

I trembled in fear, when my mom ended the call I immediately found my feet heading to my room, and fixing my luggage. Nakasunod si Dom sa akin. Iniwan niya lang ako noong may tumawag sa kanya.

Pero minuto lang ay bumalik na siya. "Louisse called, nasa OR daw si Jus. I couldn't ask her anything because her background was too loud. Uuwi ka ba? Sasamahan kita. I'll just text Chloe what happened."

"He'll be fine," Dom tapped my shoulder, I couldn't calm down, I tried calling my mom before our departure, pero unattended na silang lahat. Pati yung mga kapatid ko. Dom tried calling Louisse and even Gerard, pero wala ding sumasagot sa dalawa.

Our flight was direct, kahit pinipilit ako ni Dom na umidlip ay hindi ko magawa. I have never been that afraid, I silently prayed for his mercy and I even bargained the fame and the life I had at the moment.

"Stop worrying, for sure nasa recovery area na siya," 'yon ang huling sabi ni Dom bago kami sumakay ng taxi papuntang Taguig.

Ang hirap sa city kung kailan nagmamadali ka doon lalong nagiging traffic.

Halos patakbo naming pinuntahan yung kwartong sinabi ni Louisse. It was the same room Gerard used. My hand trembled when it finally touched the doorknob.

I breathe heavily, pero bago ko pa maipasok yung buong katawan ko ay napa-urong na ako. He was peacefully asleep, nakahawak naman yung dating babae niya sa kamay niya, at nakalagay ang ulo noong babae sa kama. Tulog silang parehas.
