^^Delilah Corbes^^"Rosie! Where have you been chicka?" my best friend Delilah asked grabbing me in a warm embrace. "Ah, you know stuff." I said pulling back to look at her face. "Well what kind of stuff? I haven't seen you since your parents grounded you. Four whole weeks chicka!" She said dragging me to the lunch room.
"I know, I begged my parents to let me text or call you! But they said I needed to know how it feels. Whatever that means?" I said heading to are usual table in the middle of the cafeteria.
I had just finished gym and I was tired, so I just stole a apple from Delilah instead of the lunch line. "Ugh parents. Well I'm glad you survived with out me, I was getting worried you would commit suicide," she joked. Yup same old Delilah.
"Yeah whatever, you know it was you missing me," I said punching her arm playfully. Delilah was wearing her black skinny jeans and a ripped, old rock band tank top. Her style was so much like mine until my parents told, no ordered me to change my 'Bad choice in wardrobe'.
"Yep you busted me!" Her grey eyes widening in a playful joke. I laugh and slap her brown curly head. "Ow, that hurt so much," She said with a mocking tone. I laugh again and turned my attention back to my apple.
We finished are lunch and decide on going outside for the remaining 15 minuets we have until are last class starts. Delilah links are arms together and heads us over to a picnic table set outside. We sit down and talk about are first day back to school. Hers was great and of course mine was boring.
"So, do you think your parents will let you come to the annual bonfire party tonight? I mean you've been locked up in a house for four weeks straight!" Delilah said throwing her arms up. I hesitate before answering, knowing my parents would probably say no.
"I don't know, maybe? I mean it's the last time we'll be able to attend. Every senior in all the surrounding packs will be there! I could say that I want to make new friends," I said biting my bottom lip. I want to go so bad!
'Me to, we could find mate!' My wolf suddenly chirped. 'I don't want to find mate! I want to be free for once!' I shouted back to my wolf making her growl. 'Why would you not want mate? Mate will protect and love us!' Nala argued. I just shook my head not wanting to fight with her.
"Hello, earth to Rosie!" Delilah's voice suddenly made me jump. "Sorry, I was talking to Nala about the whole asking my parents thing," I lied knowing Delilah would side with my wolf.
Delilah always wanted to find her mate. She would actually write poems and love notes, hoping to give them to her mate when she finds him. I never actually thought about having a mate. I could protect and fend for myself.
"Rosie! You zoned out again!" Delilah whined. Goddess! For a goth girl she sure was whiney. I chuckled to myself wondering if I should call her that or not. She would definitely get pissed that I called her whiney. I was about to reply when I heard the bell ring.
I jumped off the picnic table and started running to the school building. "I'll see you after math class!" I called to Delilah who was looking pissed because I wasn't paying attention to her. I laughed and headed to math not wanting to be late. Ugh math!
