"Y/N, just breathe. Come on, in and out. There's no need to get so panicked about this, it'll blow over before you know it!" Scarlet's concerned voice rung through his head, yet as much as Y/N wished to listen to it there was not much he could do right now.

The boy in question clutched the ceramic surface of the sink like his life depended on it, not even registering how hard he did so, his head dipped down with a few beads of sweat forming along it. The bathroom was spacious, more than enough to fit both him and Mina into without much bother, but for some reason Y/N felt constricted regardless, as if something wrapped around his chest and made him feel weak. His face was red hot, far more than it should be and certainly not like the usual blushes that formed from his girlfriend or some other event.

No, this was different. Erratic breaths filled the room, like Y/N had just ran a marathon. His heart hammered against his chest like no tomorrow and the urge to release some pent-up feeling only grew.

What that feeling was, however, made things... difficult.

Y/N swiftly turned the tap on and splashed cold water over his seemingly boiling face, an attempt to calm himself down at least. He gasped at the frigid temperature that latched onto him and dripped down his chin but it did the job well, the warmth that plagued him gave way to a welcomed coolness, calming Y/N down just enough to think.

Scarlet sighed, somewhat relieved from it. "You with me, Y/N?" He asked.

"Damn it, how the hell could I have been so stupid? This wasn't how it was supposed to go at all!" Y/N whined through heavy breaths. "This... isn't good."

"I admit, you did sorta run off in a hurry. Seriously, though, it's no big deal and this was bound to happen eventually." He reassured him, but that only made Y/N groan.

"Yeah, eventually, not now when I least expected it! And may I add that this is a very big deal." Y/N replied as he grabbed a towel to dry his face off.

"Surely it wasn't that bad, though! Both of you are staying in the same room for a week, who's to say that something like that can't happen every once in a while?" Scarlet pointed out. He could only watch as Y/N walked towards the door and slumped against it, burying his face into his hands.

"That doesn't make it any better... Scarlet, I could feel them, and not like the time she first stayed over at mine." Y/N's muffled, groaning voice responded.

As of this moment, he wore nothing more than a pair of swim shorts, the rest of his body bare and slightly wet from sea water and sweat from the summer heat. Y/N gave out a heavy sigh and closed his eyes for a moment, clutching his chest to the mixed feeling of exhilaration and confusion that rushed through his body.

To say he was bothered was an understatement.

"You know she's gonna come back here to find you, right?" Scarlet asked.

"I needed to calm down... yet no matter what I do this twisting feeling inside of me won't go away." Y/N mumbled, he then brought his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. All an attempt to calm himself down. "I don't know what to do."

Even just recalling the moment made his heart beat faster and quicken Y/N's already shaky breath. To say Scarlet was quite confused about his current state was putting it lightly, for he knew how Y/N could usually get around embarrassing and awkward situations. This? This felt similar and yet also unfamiliar, like something actually had to be done to solve his issue, not just simply wait it out.
