Sanctum Sanctorum, Greenwich Village, New York

"And... I'm bored," Anthea huffed, slamming a spellbook shut.

The girl marked out a tally in her notebook, noting the number of times she had completed reading the book. 4 times. She straightened her outfit out, pushing her blonde locks back.

She huffed, placing her hand on her cheek. Strange was busy in his office and he made it specifically clear for her not to leave the sanctum.

She fiddled with her pen, bored out of her mind as she eyed her sling ring. The piece of metal glinted in the sun, lying nearby the spellbook as Anthea ran a finger over the metal.

Anthea picked the sling ring up, furrowing her brows as a cheeky smile appeared.

Strange made it clear that she couldn't leave the Sanctum, but he didn't say where in the Sanctum she couldn't go.

She then put the ring on, creating a portal as it grew larger, her smile following suit. She walked through, humming as she stood before the grand staircase. Been there before, nothing much to see.

She continued to wander, up and down the hallways. She stared at a few mirrors, walked past ancient magical relics before going elsewhere again. She then ended up in a corridor with three strange-looking doors, each holding a different destination.

One door held the image of a desert, the other appeared to be a rainforest, and the last was covered in ice caps.  She peered in curiously, spotting some kind of handle. Her hand reached for the handle as it touched the item, the second changing into a grassy field while Anthea's eyes widened.

"Cool..."

She stuck a hand through the first doorway, feeling the cool tropical air as a grin grew.

"Don't stick parts of you in unless you're going in entirely."

Anthea turned around, facing Wong as she spotted a frown on his features.

"I'm not gonna die," Anthea huffs. "I'm just exploring. I'm bored."

"Of course you are," Wong rolled his eyes. "Just don't do anything that's likely to get you in trouble."

"Wong, trouble often follows me."

"Uh-huh... just don't disturb me. I'll be in the library revising some books."

He then walked off, a mischievous grin falling into place. She crossed her arms as a plan formed in her head, the girl grinning to herself as she fiddled with her sling ring.

"The library, huh? I'll be sure not to disturb."

Anthea peered around a bookshelf, finding that Wong was indeed there. She smiles before slowly drawing a portal, seeing that Wong had his earbuds stuck in his ears. Music seemed to blast pretty loudly as the girl opened a second portal, nearer to the sorcerer.

She looked around, spying that he somehow had snacks beside him as her eyes widened along with her grin, her hand reaching out to grab a few while she was at it.

As soon as her fingers touched the wrappers, she pulled the item in, confident that Wong wouldn't see as she had heard of his immense focus when studying. Or revising. Or whatever he called it.

Anthea grinned to herself, pulling her hand through the portals as they closed, soon running off to leave the sorcerer to realise that a few things of his were missing.

And maybe, she could get away with something this time.

"Strange, I swear, she took my things," Wong hissed as he walked alongside Stephen.

"And you're sure you saw that she took it?"

"Well," Wong frowned. "I saw something move from the side of my eye."

Stephen sighed at the accusation. It was likely that Anthea did take his things, but Wong also needed a better alibi.

"Fine," Strange sighed. "I'll go check on her. I'll let you know if I find anything of yours in her room. What did you say she took again?"

Wong halted.

"...My snacks."

Stephen stifled a small chuckle.

"Alright, I'll, uh... check to see if your snacks are there."

Stephen then walked off with the smallest smile, Wong glowering in slight embarrassment and annoyance at Anthea before walking off.

"Anthea?"  Stephen knocked on the girl's door.

He pushed the door open, spotting Anthea cross-legged on the floor as she held a few snacks in her hand, the girl leaning against her bed as her earphones were in. She looked over at Stephen with wide eyes as he leaned against the doorframe, watching in slight amusement.

"Want some?" She offered, holding her hand up.

"No, thanks," Stephen shook his head. "Are those... Wong's snacks?"

"Correction, they were Wong's snacks."

"Ah..." Stephen nodded. "Well, do you mind returning the half-eaten snacks?"

Anthea shook her head, pausing the music on her phone with her clean hand.

"No can do, Mister," She tilts her head a little. "I'm almost finished with them."

Stephen nods, looking away as he thought.

"Fine," He sighs a little. "But this is the last time I'm allowing you to do this."

Anthea grins, doing a little salute.

"Aye aye, sir."

The former surgeon nods, walking off as he shuts the door. He later then stumbled across Wong, putting on his best straight face.

"Nothing in her room," Stephen shook his head as he saw Wong's face scrunch up.

"Are you sure?" Wong questioned.

"Positive. I could buy you more if you really need them."

Wong nodded as Stephen pulled his phone out, ordering a few of the said snacks.  The two sat in silence as a few minutes passed, Stephen soon tearing his eyes away from his phone.

"So, the snacks have been ordered and I'm going back to my work," He sighed a little. "Let me know if anything serious happens."

Wong nodded, Stephen looking back a Wong for a last time.

"Not counting snacks."

Wong rolled his eyes nodding as well.

"Thanks, again, Strange."

"Anything for my favourite librarian."

Stephen quickly pat Wong's shoulder, walking off as Wong hummed to himself, retreating back to the library.

Unbeknownst to either of them, the girl was planning in her room a little revenge.

2 days later

Anthea peered around the bookshelf corner, spotting Wong in the same place as she had noticed he had often visited the library. Quickly, she pulled out a sheet of paper with 'KICK ME' written on it, tearing a strip of tape as she stuck it onto the paper.

Stealthily, she opened a portal, gently sticking her hand through it before sticking the paper onto Wong's back. She quickly pulled her arm through the portal as it closed, snickering to herself as she left.

Snitches get stitches.
