Nora had awaken to faint voices arguing as she slowly opened her eyes. She laid there silently as the tall man and pale woman stopped their ferocious conversation with the man dressed in white. Lord Dennis and Madam Eleanor rushed to her bedside and began to comfort her with a look of worry in their eyes. "Aileen; darling, you're awake. How do you feel?" the pale woman asked. "Who are you people" she replied. Lord Dennis and Madam Eleanor looked at each other with horror. "Aileen, what do you mean we're your parents" the man replied with a stern voice. She looked at them and thought if she stated the fact that she was not their daughter then they would be even more concerned with her choice of words. "How long have I been asleep?". "About 10 days" the woman was supposedly her new mother. "It took the doctors 4 hours to drain the poison from your veins" said her father. The doctor came to check if everything was fine and this time her new parents stayed to watch.
A few days passed as Nora stayed at the hospital to regain her strength and also receiving gifts and visits from her family and that young boy named Chadwick which was her personal servant. The day came when she was released from the hospital and she had some questions on her mind. "How did she end up in the hospital and why did that man poison her?". She was placed in a wheelchair and was escorted by Lord Dennis and Madam Eleanor out through the hospital doors. As they exited the hospital, they approached a lavish black car, there were tall man in black suits that guarded the car like a brick wall. They entered the car without a single word, she sat there looking at every individual person without a single clue of how she was going to live with these people called her family. She faced her mother to see a blank expression and not a source of had been seen in her eyes. Nora fell asleep as the drive felt as it went on for days. she awaken to see her new home for the first time, it was a large condo with many floors. They had taken a elevator up to the top floor. As they exited the all sorts of technology, she seemed dazed by her new home. The young boy turned toward Nora and began to take the wildflowers out of her hair. The young boy looked as he was afraid. Nora became concerned with his expression and was going to ask what was wrong until a man and woman entered through the door. It looked like they came from a fancy event. The young boy bowed to the man and woman as he uttered these words "Welcome home Lord Dennis and Mistress Eleanor". Nora stared at the man and woman as they went down the hall. The young boy brought Nora or Aileen as she goes by now to her room. The young boy chose Nora's clothes diligently and left so she could take a shower. As the day went on dinner came around. The room was awkwardly quiet, too quiet. Nora got a chance to meet her new sister and what surprised her was demented glare she towards her. "So Aileen, did you have fun today?" asked Mistress Eleanor who looked so drastically pale while drinking her glass of red wine. She hesitated before answering with a quiet murmur while staring down at her dinner. "Alda, did you do anything interesting?" asked Lord Dennis to Alda. Alda responded by stating that she had one of the maids take her shopping. Another idea came to Alda's mind since they were on the topic of buying things for herself "Father could it be possible that I could have a new HT9?" asked Alda pleadingly. The sound of a fork hitting the plate moved around the room and heads instantly turned to the source of the sound. The sound came from... father and it seemed he had a look of frustration on his face. "How many times do I have to say no! You know I can't because I have for that incident" Lord Dennis said to Alda calmly as possible cause it looked like he was at his wit's end. What was this incident that father said, Nora had no idea, but it was her goal to find out. The evening went on with the awkward silence for the rest of the day. The day went by fast and it was almost time for Nora to go to bed. When she was preparing for bed, she heard voices down the hall. She made her way down the the hallway and ended up in the doorway near the kitchen. She saw that the voices were from her mother and the young boy. "Alda has informed me that you had taken Aileen to that meadow she loved so much, is that correct?" asked Mistress Eleanor were staring heavily at young boy while she swirled red wine. "Y-yes Mistress" he said stuttering. She would have intervened, but from Nora's point of view it looked like the young boy was filled with true dread. "You were given specific instructions to keep Aileen home. Why was that instruction disobeyed? "said Mistress Eleanor as she gritted her teeth. "A-am sorry that disobeyed your instruction, but I thought th..." the boy said as he was interrupted by Mistress Eleanor when she tossed her red wine into his face. The boy stayed silence while the red wine dripped off his face. The silence was broken by Mistress Eleanor's heels against the cool tiled floor as she placed down the glass. She sighed "That's what you did, you thought. Now just look at this mess. " she said as if a tornado had made it's way into the kitchen. Mistress Eleanor glanced at the boy in his shocked state and replied "When you are done cleaning up this mess, clean yourself up, you know I don't like filth" she said as she walked away. She made her way towards where Nora was standing and as soon as she saw her she said "Aileen; sweetheart, what are still doing awake. You know you need your rest, so get to bed ok" as she planted a kiss on Nora's forehead and made her way to her room. Nora stood there shocked, how could she talk so sweetly to her after she watched her talk to someone like they were trash. Nora entered the kitchen and hovered over the boy as he cleaned up the wine off the floor. "Am sorry if I..." before she could finish her sentence the boy got up and made his way out of the kitchen and down the hall. That didn't go as well as Nora wanted, so she made her way back to her room. She spent the night replaying the whole day in head and how could this be happening to her. As she laid in her bed sleep painted its way on her and then she was out. The last thing she would want is to have another surprise come forth in her new life as if what she is experiencing now isn't enough. That will be something else to come for another time.
