Kaonian Courting Rituals.

Because Kaonians can be violent in nature, parts of the Courting Rit's are based on that. First, if a mech were to show interest in Kaonian femme, he must first, seek out the family's approval to begin Courting her. First impression to begin is to impress the family with three reason, very good, and very valid reasons to court her. 

The next step, he is to show that he cannot only provide but protect the femme. To show he can provide is to gift her with energon, and before the war on Cybertron, he would need to provide a home as well but that would be later in the courtship should it last that long. He can provide in treats, attention, and with gifts of weapons, jewels, and whatever else she may need and or want.

And the way a Kaonian family is to evaluate how the mech is capable to protect his femme, is through, a fight. A mech must be able to fight off other competting mechs at any given time and at any given number that comes at him. The femme may be able to fight, but she may not be always able to when she comes to be with spark. And so, the mech is given test upon test against each family member. The last fight he would have to endure against the family is when he is ready and sure that he still wants to mate with the femme of the family; when he is ready to ask to be her sparkmate.

The last fight the mech would have to go through, is a fight with all the femme's family members at once.

Now, this fight as well as the whole courting processes will be procesessed like a week long competition. Everything starting from day one, and till that very point, would be looked over, judged, and tried as one. Now that fight, even if the mech loses, can still go through as a success. Depending on how long he lasted against the whole family and what the family thinks of everything. Should he win the match against the family though, it would put him more in favor of a successful family approval.

And since the Kaonian families can be a large one with other families mixed from different clans, these trials are always witnessed by extended family members and peers of higher ranks.
