11.33 pm
*Buzz buzz*
"Huh?" Lucy says waking up to the ringing of her old iPhone 6. She looks at the time, it reads 11.33 pm, she then picks up her phone to answer it.
"Hello?" Lucy asks. No answer. Lucy can hear huffs and puffs on the other side of the line.
"Who is this!?" She demands. Still, no answer. Lucy decided to hang up.
"That was weird," Lucy says to herself. She puts her phone back on her bedside table, and goes back to sleep. Around 10 minutes later, her phone starts to ring again.
*Buzz buzz*
"Ughh!" Lucy groans, picking up her phone to answer it, without even looking at the number.
"What do you want!" Lucy yells expecting it to be the strange caller. But she was mistaken, it was her work buddy, Johnathon Ward.
"Woah! Sorry Lucy! Just calling to let you know there is a serial killer loose in your area," informs Johnathon.
"Oh, Sorry Johnathon! I just got a weird call from a random number. I thought they had called me again," explains Lucy, "but, thanks for the warning, I'll make sure my doors and windows are locked, I'll give you a call if I see or hear anything suspicious,"
"Okay, good idea Lucy! Stay sa-," says Johnathon, before, the signal was cut.
"Huh? That's weird..." Lucy says to herself. She puts her phone down and goes to check all of her doors and windows. Whilst checking the door to her lovely, green and spacious backyard, she notices something strange in the corner. She squints her eyes, hopeful to get a better look. She shrugs her shoulders deeming it as a bush or a statue. Lucy finishes checking her windows and doors, and decides to head back to bed. She decides she'll pay one last look into her backyard before bed. She looks into her backyard, but only to see the strange thing in the corner is gone.
"What the..? I swear there was something there earlier!" Says Lucy, "maybe I should call Johnathon." So Lucy goes back to her bedroom to grab her phone. As she's dialing Johnathon's number she notices she still has no signal.
"Strange... Maybe it's just something to do with the connection. I'm sure it'll be fixed tomorrow!" Lucy assures herself. She looked at the time before she went to sleep, the time was 12.15 am.
"Ughh! I have to be up early!" groans Lucy angrily. She lays down, closes her eyes and goes to sleep.
