Logline: After failed businesswoman Toria Walker Bergwald discovers her husband has been cheating, she branches out on her own to rebuild her life with her best friend Emily. At a networking event Toria meets Neil Frost, an accountant who can help her get back on track.

Though she feels a spark, it's one she must ignore.

At least for now...

Rating: As always, we're going for PG-15 for moderate language and moderate intimacy without graphic sex scenes.

Tone/Atmopshere: As opposed to my typical work, which is so dark it should be in the DC universe, this story will be more light-hearted, fun, and a feel-good kind of romance. A palate cleanser, so to speak. Sure, there's a break-up scene at the beginning, but no one dies.

(Gasp! What? Did Carolyn Hill even write it?)

Chapter length: between 500 and 1200 words (So, they're shorter than normal; I hope that's cool.)

Prompt:

Prompt 75: When [your best friend convinces you to go to a networking event], you readily accept because you [would like to acquire more business clients]. But things go [a bit differently than you expect] when you meet [an accountant who would like to acquire your language services].

Update schedule: Well, I could make a promise, but you know I'm a chaotic ball of energy.

Status warning: TL; DR: I'm pantsing this baby live, so watch out!

This is a raw unedited draft that I'm posting live. That means you'll probably find lots of typos, inconsistencies, and flaws in the plot lines/pacing. But I've found that if I think too much in the drafting phase, my anxiety gets the better of me, and I don't finish it.

It'll be written in first-person past tense, my typical fare. I'm dabbling in romance, which is not my standard genre, so that's enough challenge for one day!

So please don't mind me, pantsing away and writing rubbish. After I'm finished with the crazy draft, I'll go back and reformulate it into an actual story. You know, with a plot, actual character arcs, and everything! :D

Until then, buckle your seatbelts for a lot of wacky ideas that make little sense.

Ta-daaa! I'm really selling it, huh?
