I'll Follow (Royai Fanfic)

Chapter: 4

I woke up to the sound of running water and to find Roy not at my side. The time was 5 minutes before my alarm goes off. What was he doing up so early? As I sat up to turn it off, the slight pain coming from in between my legs made me cringe. I slipped on a robe and went to the kitchen to make myself a bowl of cereal while I waited for him to get out of the shower.

I heard the water shut off and pretty soon he came out all dressed and ready for work even though it was an hour early. "You could've slept in some, sweetie." I smiled as he wrapped his arms around me from behind.

"I know, but I woke up around 4:00 and I just couldn't fall back asleep." He rubbed his eyes and sat down next to me.

"Did you have a bad dream?" I asked.

"I just- I haven't seen your back in awhile, it brought back some bad memories." He went through my cupboard and I stared down at my food.

Yeah, he was responsible for the burn scars but I told him to do it. That wasn't his fault.

"I'm sorry I made you do that." I said.

"No, it was for the best." He turned back around and bent over to kiss my cheek.

"What are you making?" I asked as I put my bowl in the sink.

"Oatmeal." He said and I nodded.

"Alright, I'm gonna get in the shower." I turned away from him and started for the bathroom.

When I was done getting ready I put my hair up and slipped on my boots.

"Riza, don't make us late!" Roy yelled from the other room.

I walked back into the living room and grabbed my coat. "Let's go." I shrugged it on my shoulders and smiled at Roy. I was hoping that even after we'd been so intimate he'd go back to being his arrogant, bossy self afterwards. I know that's a weird thing to say but it'd just be hard to be professional with him if he was still acting so sweet, I wouldn't be able to keep my hands away from him.

We were the first ones in his office and he smirked at me as we positioned ourselves at our desks.

"It'd be pretty hot if we ever got the time alone in here-"

"I know where you're going with this sir," I started to laugh. "but let's talk about that another time, okay?" I shook my head as he started to chuckle.

"You should consider it." He smiled.

"Another time, Colonel." I started going through paperwork.

"Good morning, sir." Lieutenant Falman said to Roy. The same went for everyone else as they arrived, we all exchanged pleasantries as usual.

The day went by without any problems up until I went home. While walking down the alley I heard footsteps behind me. I quickly turned around only to have somebody grab me and pull me back.

"If you stay quiet this will be a whole lot easier." A deep voice said.

I squirmed around in his arms and took notice of the ouroboros tattoo on his hand. He sounded nothing like him but looked exactly like like Ling Yao, the boy from Xing who won't stop bothering Edward.

"Ling! What the hell's wrong with you?!" I screamed and he covered my mouth.

"It's actually Greed now, sweetheart."

My breath hitched in my throat. Greed? I thought he was dead.

I tried to fight against him but he was just too strong.

"Look, Lieutenant, it's that guy who's been "stalking" you." He turned us around and Gluttony appeared in front of me.

"Can I eat her now?" He asked hungrily.

"No, we need to get some answers out of her first." Greed smirked. "But I'll let you do whatever you want when we're done."

"You won't be doing anything as long as I'm here." When I turned around I saw Roy walking toward us and pulling on his gloves.

I squirmed around a little before I stomped on Greed's foot and elbowed him in the side.

"Colonel!" I yelled as I got loose and started running toward him.

He grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him, holding me against his chest as he snapped his fingers and lit up the alley.

I heard them screaming as we ran down the street.

"I called you three times," He panted. "I just got worried when you didn't pick up."

"It's nice to know you care." I looked behind us and saw nothing. "They aren't follow-" I stopped, pulling on his hand so he would too.

"What is it?"

"They're watching us from above." I looked up and saw both homunculi standing on the rooftops.

"We need to go." He said and turned back around.

"Where do you think you're going?" Greed asked as he landed.

Roy raised his hand again and Greed ran at him. I crouched beside him and shot at Greed causing no damage whatsoever.

"Quit trying! You'll just embarrass yourself!" He yelled and dodged Roy's attacks. "Gluttony, get Mustang!"

I didn't have much to worry about, somebody had called the police and I heard sirens coming from afar.

But I couldn't hurt him with bullets so I was practically useless. I grabbed his arm and pinned it behind his back, kicked the back of his knee then pushed him over.

I planned on holding him down until the police arrived but he had something else in mind.

"Do you think I'm just gonna let this happen?" He laughed and knocked me off with no problem. "Gluttony, lets go." He jumped up into the air and ran along the rooftops while I stood up.

"Colonel," I sighed and brushed off my pants. "are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." He nodded then went to talk to the newly arrived officers about the criminals escaping.

Roy and I walked down the street to his place and he asked me questions about what they wanted with me. "Was that the fat stalker you were talking about?" He raised his eyebrows.

"Yes, sir. I wasn't expecting Gluttony."

"Did you tell them anything?"

"No, sir." I kept my eyes on my feet.

"Well, I hope you feel safer staying with me." He unlocked his front door and let me in.

I sat down on the couch and made myself at home, keeping on the lookout for anything suspicious. I finally fell asleep on the couch around 12:00, but when I woke up I was laying in Roy's bed, held safely in his arms.
