The Rubella and Measles Vaccination

Jake's POV

We were watching The Simpsons on YouTube until Peter came in with some news.

"Hey guys, I've got some news for Jake and Izzy." Peter exclaimed.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"You and Izzy are getting your Rubella and Measles vaccinations done in a week." Peter exclaimed as Izzy fainted...again.

Izzy's POV

I slowly woke up as my head was on Jake's chest as I sat up.

"Ohh. I had a nightmare that I was going to have needles in my arms." I exclaimed.

"That's because you are." Peter exclaimed.

"What...?" I asked as I nearly fainted but Jake kept me awake.

"Izzy, it's only a vaccination. Besides Jake is having it done as well." Peter exclaimed before he left.

"I can't have another needle in me. I can't have two needles inside me. I'm too scared." I exclaimed, scared.

"Izz, you're going to be okay. I'll be there with you. I'll hold your hand when you are getting yours done." Jake exclaimed as he gave me a hug.

Jake's POV

It was a week later and Peter took us to the hospital to get mine and Izzy's vaccinations done. We walked over to the Receptionist.

"Hello. This is Jacob Hutchinson and Isabella Green. They are here for their Rubella and Measles vaccinations." Peter exclaimed as the nurse signed us in.

"Okay. Sit and wait in the waiting room until your name is called out." The Nurse exclaimed as we nodded our heads and sat in the waiting room until our names were called out.

"Jake, I'm really nervous about getting two needles going into my arms. What if it hurts??" Izzy asked me, really nervous.

"Izz, I promise you won't feel a thing. I'll be there with you." I exclaimed.

"Izzy, it's just two vaccinations, you're not even going to know you had it done." Peter exclaimed as he wasn't really helping.

"You're not even having it done." Izzy exclaimed.

"Peter, you're not helping." I exclaimed until a nurse came over to us.

"Jacob Hutchinson and Isabella Green?" The Nurse exclaimed called us, really loud as we stood up and went to her.

I was dragging Izzy with me as she didn't want to get it done.

We entered the vaccination room and we saw the nurse ready to put the vaccinations in us.

"Hello, who wants to go first?" The Nurse asked us.

"I'll go first." I exclaimed as I sat down on the seat while Izzy was standing up next to me, really nervous.

"Izz, I'm going to be okay. Just watch me get it done and see how easy it is." I exclaimed as she nodded.

"Are you Jacob?" The Nurse asked me.

"I prefer to be called Jake instead." I exclaimed.

"Okay. So today, we are going to be doing your Rubella and Measles vaccination. So do you want it done in both arms at the same time or one arm at a time?" The Nurse asked me as the other Nurse was getting the both of the vaccinations ready.

"I'll have it done in both arms at the same time." I exclaimed as I just wanted to get it out of the way.

They rolled both of my sleeves up and they inserted the needles in both of my arms at the same time.

"All done there." The Nurse exclaimed as they both placed bandaids on both of my arms where I had the two injections.

"Thank you. Your turn now Izz." I exclaimed as I got up from the chair as I rolled my sleeves down.

"Are you sure? I mean it looked painful. I don't think I need it." Izzy exclaimed as she was trying to get out of it.

"Izz, I didn't even feel it. Now come on, sit in the chair." I exclaimed as Izzy sat down in the chair while I kneeled down on the floor while holding her hand.

Izzy's POV

I was really scared. I didn't want to have any needles going into my arms.

"Hello Isabella. Do you prefer to be called Isabella or Izzy?" The Nurse asked me.

"Izzy." I exclaimed.

"Okay Izzy, so today is your Rubella and Measles vaccination today. So do you want it done in both arms at the same time or one arm at a time?" The Nurse asked me.

"One at a time." I exclaimed as I was becoming really nervous.

"Izzy, try to relax, so the needle won't hurt." The Nurse exclaimed as I wasn't relaxing, all I could do was look at those needles.

"Izz, look at me." Jake exclaimed as I looked at him and I started to feel relax.

The nurses rolled both of my sleeves up. I felt one needle going into my arm then I felt the other needle going into my arm.

"There you go Izz. It's all over now. You were really brave." Jake exclaimed as I smiled while the nurses were putting the bandaids on my arms, where the vaccinations are.

"Is that the last vaccination that I will have??" I asked the nurses.

"Yes it is the last vaccination you will need. Unless you need needles for other things." The Nurse exclaimed.

"Yes! No more needles for me!" I exclaimed as I was really happy to know that was my last vaccination.

Jake's POV

We left the room and we went back to Peter and Cubby.

"How was that?" Peter asked us.

"It was fine. I didn't feel anything." I exclaimed.

"It hurt my arms when I felt the needle going in." Izzy exclaimed.

"So did it hurt or not?" Cubby asked us.

"Well it might've hurt for Izzy because she wasn't being relaxed, which obviously tightened her muscles and veins." I exclaimed.

"And that was our last vaccination. Which I am very happy about. I don't need anymore needles." Izzy exclaimed as she was really happy.

"At least you both are fully vaccinated from Rubella and Measles." Peter exclaimed.

"Yep. That's good." I exclaimed.
