Tw - Suicide

Living is an endless battle. One that never ends until you eventually succumb to life's natural cycle or unless something tragic has happened. Sometimes you want to stop, to give up on this journey and fall into that deep continuous slumber. It seems easier than all this pain, to just lay back and let yourself go. To feel better and to run away from it all.
Silver wanted to feel that. All his life was nothing but destruction and a battle to see another day, he wanted to save the world he was born in. It was always easier said than done however, his endurance running thin after each seemingly infinite battle with Ibilis. Whenever he struck down the monster it would always return from the flames and reek havoc against his already chaotic world. Silver had never come to known what a home was, he could recount memories upon memories of always running, always fighting. It was exhausting.
Before Blaze, he was alone in an ashen barren world to fend for himself. He isn't sure who birthed him or who protected him before he finally gained the abilities to walk, feed and fight but he wishes he wasn't born into this world, every night at the sign of a star he would stop to stare and make a wish. A wish for everything to stop.

Perhaps the stars heard him, heard his deepest true desires and brought him a friend. Eventually bringing him the chance to see the world how it was before Ibilis. Nature, animals, people, society. It was enticing and exhilarating. A beautiful sunset without flames and smoke polluting the air and waves crashing against each other in the ocean. As much as he felt happy, he felt that sharp stinging of jealousy in his heart. That the people around him were able to be born into a world where they could run and stop when they wanted. Where they could lay down onto luscious green grass and take in every second of it without fear.

He wanted to do the same, he wanted to stay there but it wasn't his place and Blaze reminded him of that. It wasn't their world to be apart of just like she isn't supposed to be apart of his.
So, he was whisked away yet again. To the future, to his world. Though this time, he was truly alone for Blaze had left taking Ibilis with her to a whole different dimension. He should feel happy, accomplished even but it was emptying. Breathing in the air wasn't the same as it had been in the past. Instead of fighting now he was left in a destroyed planet, each step he took he found himself surrounded by burnt forest or cities. The more time he spent wandering, the more his thoughts ate away at his mind, picking apart his naive mentality.
It grew cold as dust swirled around him and licked up his shoes. Cold and lonely, it reminded him of the past where he'd spent shivering inside deserted buildings. Trying to ignore the roaring sounds of monsters outside as he trembled in fear, bringing rubble closer in meek attempts to hide better.
He stood at the edge of a giant cliff overlooking a ruined city, wind flowing through his quills as he breathed in the toxic smoke around him. He hugged the sky surrounding him as his feet kicked off the edge, it felt like freedom. To be flying through the air without using his powers, to feel the strong breeze blowing against him as he descended farther and farther. His smile faded, he missed Blaze.

THUD.
