" 🎶 La Da Di Da Do Da Di La Da Da Da Da, Your soul is full of fire and the road is made of ice. Watch each step you take, so you don't melt through and die. Mountains must be crossed to reach the land of god. so keep that fire burning, so you don't run out of light... La Da Di Da Do Da Di La Da Da Da Da 🎶 "
The song was heard throughout the house as the woman sang to the infant she had birthed. The infant was silent, waiting for it's mother to finish singing the beautiful melody which it had never heard before. The woman looked to the man who had been listening so very quietly in the seat next to them. "Anastasia....." said the man quietly. The woman smiled and slowly stopped singing, seeing that the infant had fallen asleep. "Yes...? " Said the woman to the man, "It's time to go, Anastasia.... Hide the child so that it may live a life without the burdens we have forced upon it. " the happiness in the woman's face slowly disappeared from sight and was replaced with a look of pain and sadness. The woman stood up with the child as the man removed a board from the wall revealing a small opening. The woman wiped away a tear that had made its way down her cheek as she set the sleeping infant in the opening. The woman removed a locket from around her neck, which was engraved with the word "Melody" and placed it next to the infant.
The man set his hand on the woman's shoulder and then put the board back onto the wall covering the opening, with the sleeping infant still in it. "Oh Eric....Why can we not have a normal life with our child?" the woman hugged the man and cried into his shoulder not knowing what else to do. "Anastasia, I told you the consequences of having this child yet you still insisted..." The woman pulled away from the hug and without another word and opened the door, walking out of the room. The man sighed showing no emotion and followed the woman knowing that he would never have the opportunity to see his child again.
Later that night Gunshots where heard and, the child's parents were dead.
