Losing My Heart To You

Prologue

I am so done.

I just couldn't help but feel so frustrated the moment I saw the school guard closed the gates before our school service could even get in.

Now I'm late. Officer pa naman tapos ganito. You know what's making so pissed off right now? It is the fact na I woke up so early but because of unmindful people, like my schoolmate who I'm riding this school service with, I still ended up being late.

Pagbaba palang ng van, sira na ang mood ko. Lumapit ako sa mga kaklase kong naabutan din ng pagsara ng gate at eto kami ngayon, nakalinya bago papasukin pagkatapos ng flag ceremony. What a great way to start monday!

While my classmates started teasing each other for being late, I can't even smile and continued walking, almost dragging my bag on the ground because of my bad mood. Oo, nawalan na ako ng gana pumasok ngayon dahil late na ako. I have always been the punctual type and being late isn't just my style.

"Uy Fau, magsalita ka naman diyan, 'wag ka na bad mood oh." sabi ni Max sa akin.

"Oo nga, eto ngang si Kefi oh, walong beses nang nalilate pero parang wala lang." Henna tried also tried to make me feel better.

"Late lang 'yan, ako si Kefi! hahahahaha. Uy kaninong sasakyan 'tong nakapark? May bisita ba sa school today?"

"Ewan ko, baka meron." Henna answered her.

"Baka yung accreditors na yan ah? What do you think Fau?" baling ni Max sa akin, still trying to make me talk but I just stared at the car's window and continued walking.

"Late comers! Bakit ba ang tagal niyo magsilakad? Kayo na nga tong late!" Paula, our school's vice president, who acts like the president shouted at us. Siya kasi ang nakaassign na maglista at magbantay sa mga late comers.

"Oh, Faustine! I didn't expect I'd be seeing you with them today, officer ka pa naman tapos hindi ka good model." she directly said right in front of my face, embarassing me in front our schoolmates.

And this is why I don't like her. She just can't control her mouth and she loves to embarass me everytime she gets the chance just to prove to everyone that she's better than me. At sa lahat ba naman ng araw, ngayon pa na bad trip ako.

I just gave her a deadpan look as I completely dropped my bag on the ground harshly.

I tried to look away to stop myself from exploding. The moment I turned my head to a different direction, I saw this unfamiliar boy staring at me while he and the woman he is with is talking to the principal in the corridors. And then he suddenly laughed the moment our eyes met. The fact that I am already so pissed at the moment, and the way he laughed at me makes me even more annoyed.

After they finished listing our names, I was about to walk with my friends on our way to our classroom but then the principal called my name so I had to choice but face her kahit sobrang badtrip na ako na gusto ko na itapon 'tong bag ko.

"Good morning Ms. Valderama." she greeted me with a smile. Though for sure alam talaga niyang late ako. Napapagalitan kasi talaga kami pag nakikita niya na may school officers na nalilate.

"Good morning Ms. Winceslao." and then I turned to the boy and the woman beside him. "Good morning po." I said as calmly and softly as I could.

"Good morning hija." the woman greeted me back with a smile while the boy beside her also smiled. Tsk, parang di ako pinagtawanan kanina lang ah.

"Anything I can do po?" I tried my best to form smile and hide my very very bad mood as I asked our principal the question.

"Well, I just wanted to give you a special task today. We have here Mr. Romualdez with his aunt, Mrs. Romualdez. He just transferred here today and since he specifically requested just a while ago that he wanted to have you as his tour guide instead of our school's vice president, Ms. Paula, then why don't you show him around our school?" she explained.

Oh great. Now I have to give the guy who just laughed at me a tour.

"No problem po." I answered shortly.

"Ms. Valderama here is also one of our school officers so you can ask her any questions while you roam around hijo."

"If that's the case, then I think he would just be fine. Nandito na rin ang tito mo hijo so I think I'll get going now. Thank you Ms. Winceslao! Have fun hijo!" she hugged her nephew and also smiled at me before she entered the car that just arrived.

The principal also headed back to her office and now I'm left with this dude. Oo gwapo siya but I'm just really pissed that I wanted to just leave him right now. Pagkatapos mo akong tawanan, magtour ka mag-isa!

But I couldn't because I was told to do so.

"So, where do we start?" this guy said to me, acting so friendly and nice as if he didn't just laughed at me while I was having a really hard time controlling my bad temper!
