( Stefan's POV )

I still didn't get it. I still didn't understand why she did what we did. We weren't friends, we weren't family, we didn't even know eachother. So why would she go through all the trouble of bringing me back from the dead. Lexi and Enzo too? And how did she even know we were dead?

My foot rapidly yet silently tapped against the hardwood floor that wasn't covered by carpet as I listened in to the conversation being held. My " buddy " was chatting up Caroline and Bonnie as Elena and Enzo had left the room around an hour and a half ago.

I hadn't originally thought about this, but looking at her made me think about how young she looked. She looked 21 or maybe 22, but for some reason, I couldn't believe she was. I knew she probably wasn't anywhere near that. I didn't know how old she was, but it must be older than what I had originally thought.

Maybe she's a vampire.

No, she wouldn't have been able to do what she did if she was.

Unless she was a heretic and maybe a siphoner before that.

But didn't you normally feel it when a siphoner took magic from you? I could be wrong.

My thoughts were interrupted by my wife's voice. I turned my attention to her as I saw this unexplainable expression written across her face. " I want to hear about your adventures, since she won't tell me ". Caroline nudged the shoulder of the woman next to her, said woman not looking quite happy about the physical touch.

I rubbed the back of my neck and chuckled nervously. " I uh, I don't think there's much to say ". I said. Both Bonnie and Caroline's eyebrows perked up. " Why "? Caroline asked with an expression I didn't like. " Did you two have a thing "? My apparently old acquaintance quite literally spit out a bit of her drink while Caroline smiled, clearly happy with herself.

" Jesus, no ". She wiped the alcohol off her lips and glared at Caroline with a sort of amusement in her eyes. Caroline giggled and leaned back into the couch. " I'm just kidding, but seriously, tell us something we don't know ". Caroline smiled. I crossed my arms and leaned into the armchair I was sitting in, shaking my head.

Let's see what I can remember...

My foot tapped to the beat of the music as I took a swig from my glass. Klaus and Rebekah had gone somewhere to I assume have your average sibling conversation while I chatted up  the woman next to me. It was almost unreal how easy I could talk to her. She was strange, but she was also a really good listener. I of course didn't tell her everything, there was no way I'd tell her about my life in 1864 and the whole vampirism thing.

" So you have a brother that you haven't seen in years. Any reason why "? She asked me as I had just mentioned my brother. I shrugged. " We run into each other here and there, but we've just sorta lost touch ". I said. She smirked and took a sip from her glass. " Was it a woman "? She questioned. I turned my head so fast that my neck cracked. " What "?
