The sound of my heels clashing with the cold, wet pavement had me hypnotized. For some reason, my mind was filled with all these old memories of One Direction. It's been about 10 years since we've started, and now things are now at a gradual pace. It was enough time for all five of us to think about futures. Sadly Perrie and I broke up. She's now married and has two lovely girls. We're still good friends, but seeing her makes me want more. More to give. To love someone. I don't know what exactly to feel. I wasn't depressed or sad, but I felt like it. All I knew was that I felt broken. Louis and Eleanor are also happily married, but no kids. Same as Liam and Danielle. Harry and Niall both are dating someone, but it doesn't seem serious. I want what Louis and Liam have. To get half of my happiness from someone I truely do love.

I was walking around with my mates around the streets of London. We all had some sort of disguise on, but they were poorly made. I wasn't expecting for any fans to recognize us though. The bell on door of the corner cafe chimed as we walked through, messaging there were customers entering. There was least than a dozen people were in here.

"Hi, how can I help you?" Said the lovely girl on the other side of the bar.

"Hi. Um, could I please have a White Hot Chocolate. Grande." My voice was monotoned.

"Sure. Anything else?" Her smile was beautiful, but broken. How could I tell? Because when you're broken, you can see all the flaws in life.

"No. That'll be all."

"Okay, that will be $3.86. Can I please have your name sir?"

"Za-" I shut my mouth uncertain what name I should give her.

"I'm sorry?"

"Zayn." I smiled.

"Your order will be ready soon." She smiled once again.

"Thank you."

I sat down next to Harry, who was texting his girlfriend, Alyssa. She was such a great girl and I could say that she's a keeper. I was quite bored, until my name was called for my cup. The chair jerked back as I stood. Not paying any attention, I bumped into someone short and spilled their drink all over them.

"Motherfu- Ughh." She held back her profanity and gave a sigh instead.

"I am so sorry. Here let me hel-"

"No, it's fine." I grabbed some napkins.

"Is there anything I could do to make it up to you?" I was quite curious on how she looked.

"I don't think so, sadly. My day started off badly and it just keeps getting worse, but thank you." She finally looked up at me with piercing brown eyes. I was stunned by her beauty.

"Please. Let me get you another cup?"

"Sure." She was hesitant, as if she was answering a life or death question.

I grabbed my cup first and made my way back to the register and got her another cup. The lads haven't even noticed that I was gone, but it doesn't bother me. After I retrieved my order, I found her sitting at a table in the corner admiring the scenery outside. There was something about her that made me want to get to know her more. I made my way to her and handed her the coffee before sitting down.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" She asked.

"Yeah." I looked out the window finding the autumn colored leaves fall off the trees.

"Oh! Thank you for the coffee." She looked at me and smiled. Her smile was radiant, like a million stars put together.

"No problem." We both sat there admiring the passing cars, autumn leaves, and just life itself. She was making me feel happy and whole again.

"May I ask you what your name is?" She was polite.

"Zayn. Zayn Malik." I answered with no hesitation.

"Sounds familiar, but I can't figure it out." I could tell that thoughts stormed her mind.

"From One Direction." I hinted.

"Yes! That's where. I used to love you guys, and I still do." She looked down at her hands and smiled.

"Well, that's good that I know we still have some fans out there." I gave a small laugh.

"Yeah. My name is Mindy. By the way." She looked into my eyes and smiled.

We sat there for so long talking about ourselves. The lads have already left and I noticed there wasn't much people left in the cafe. I could say that Mindy and I were now friends, but I didn't just want to be friends.

"This may seem quite out of the blue, but would you like to go out sometime? Like on a date. With me."

"I'd love to." Her voice was soft and sweet.

We exchanged numbers and from there we've dated for a year. I couldn't believe I was lucky enough to find Mindy on the corner cafe.
