"Thanks for coming Ric" Damon greeted, opening the door for Alaric to walk into the Salvatore house. "You need something to drink? Coffee? Bourbon? Bourbon in your coffee?" Damon questioned as they both walked into the parlor.

"Elena mentioned you needed my help" Alaric sighed, walking in to see Stefan and Elena on one couch and I on the other.

"Yeah" Stefan spoke up. "We were hoping you could shed some light on the Lockwood family." Alaric looked at Stefan, furrowing his eyebrows before looking up at Damon.

"Now why would I know anything about the Lockwood's?" Alaric asked in confusion.

"Well you wouldn't but your dead- not dead vampire wife might" Damon replied.

Elena rolled her eyes before speaking up "Isobel's research from when you guys were at Duke together."

"You said that she had spent years researching this town" Stefan added in.

"Isobel's research here, Mystic Falls was rooted in folklore and legend" Alaric sighed. "At the time, I thought most of which was fiction."

"Like that amazing vampire story" Damon smirked.

"Aside from vampires, what else?" I asked.

"Lycanthrope" Alaric replied. The two brothers looked at each other in confusion while Elena and I knew what he meant. "Werewolves?"

"No way" Damon said. "Impossible. Way too Lon Chaney."

"Is it?" Stefan questioned.

"I've been on this planet 160 some odd years, I've never come across one. If werewolves exist, where the hell are they?" Damon questioned.

"They could be living right under our noses. Like you vampires have figured out a way to do" I told him.

"Well why do you suspect the Lockwood's?" Alaric asked.

"Because vervain didn't effect the mayor on Founders Day but the Gilbert device did. And it effected his son Tyler" Damon said.

"And at the school carnival, his uncle Mason exhibited inhuman behavior when he fought one of the carnival workers" Stefan added. "It suggested some sort of supernatural entity."

"We were hoping that Isobel's research could help us figure out what it is" Elena said.

"Well all her things are still at Duke" Alaric cleared his throat. "I mean her office is still there. She's technically still missing."

"So can we get access to it?" Damon asked. "Ric, we need to know what we're dealing with. If this wolfman thing is true, I've seen enough movies to know it's not good. It means, Mason Lockwood is a real life Lon Chaney and that little Tyler punk may just be Lon Chaney Jr. Which means, Bela Lugosi, meaning me, is totally screwed" Damon ended, slightly glaring at Alaric.

"You sure you don't wanna come with?" Damon asked me for the third time since we've been waiting on Elena.

"I'm sure. I have to help with Caroline" I reminded him.

"Okay" Damon huffed, smirking at me slightly. He pulled me into his chest as he leaned against the car. "Sorry you can't come too, Stef."

"Call me if you need anything" Stefan said, ignoring Damon's comment.

"Oh, I'll take really good care of her" Damon rolled his eyes slightly. Elena stared at Damon as he pulled Stefan into a kiss. I furrowed my eyebrows at her as I looked up at Damon. Damon locked eyes with me, grasping my face with his hand, kissing me goodbye. Once we pulled away he opened the door. "Okay time to go." Stefan opened the door for Elena as I leaned into the open passenger window.
