Chapter 13 - Wedding Planning & Stag Do/ Hen Party

Over the weeks I had taken over most of the wedding planning because Christopher had the bar, and his job. Luckily I had a mother and a bunch of overbearing friends that had become sisters. As I was getting ready to leave me and Nat walked out onto the OR floor where Maggie and April were waiting "let's go ladies" April said with a happy smile and an excited tone as we all left arm in arm and headed to the house.

As I pulled up the car we all got out and headed inside to find my mom chasing the kids around the house "hey" i said as I hugged her, my mom had agreed to look after the kids while I was at work because Christopher was at the bar and we needed someone to look after the kids and she was coming to the house for the wedding planning.

After dinner and putting all the kids to bed we all headed to the dinner table and sat down, before I brought in wine and some dinner for us. As I sat down we all got out our folders for the wedding, I was so grateful for everyone helping out with the wedding with my job and looking after the kids the wedding had started to become stressful and it's supposed to be the happiest day of my life.

"so I've booked the flowers, and the church that's the one good side of being a desk sergeant" Mom said which made us chuckle "it makes sense to get married in the fire fighters church since my soon to be husband is a firefighter, my step father and most of my family" I said with a smile. It was a tradition that firefighters got married and had there funerals in the fire fighter church.

Mouch has become my step father after Trudy had adopted me however to me he was just another father and he loved me like his own daughter. "So I've book the caterer, which will be bringing everything to Mollies on the day" Nat said with a smile "the dresses are arriving tomorrow and the boys are going for there suit fittings tomorrow" April said "I don't think your dads going to like being touched and measured" Maggie said with a chuckle.

Before I poured us all a glass of wine, and we began to plan everything else that hadn't been arranged "everything's falling in place and I can't wait" Mom said with a huge grin on her face and she didn't smile often. The next morning while I was at work I felt my phone vibrate in my lab coat so I pulled it out and a huge grin appeared on my face which caused Maggie to walk over "what's going on" I said as showed her my phone, Christopher had sent me a photo of my dad being measured for his suit "he doesn't look happy" Maggie said as we both laughed.

A Few Weeks Later

Today was the night of the stag do and Hen Parties as I walked into the ER I saw the girls all stood there with grins on there faces "what's going on?" I asked as I walked in before Maggie pulled Sash that was bright pink "I'm not wearing that" I said as Christopher walked in "Herrmann tell your Fiance to stop being boring" Maggie said as she looked at Herrmann who stood there quite with his hands in the air "I'm not getting involved" Christopher said which made me chuckle.

"I've got to go, but I'll see you tomorrow at the isle" Christopher said with a large smile as he was about to kiss my cheek but I turned around and grabbed the straps of his trousers pulling him close before kissing him which made everyone cheer behind me, "alright Dr Jordan save that for the honeymoon" I heard Connor say and he approached us so our kiss ended and we stood and smiled at each other before he left.

And I turned to face Connor "so what do you and the boys have planned for tonight" I asked as a grin appeared on his face "you'll have to find out tomorrow" Connor said as he began to walk, there was more men on the stag do then the hen party so I knew there was going to be trouble, Will, Connor & Ethan from the hospital, all the boys from fire house 51, Jay, Ruzek, Antonio and Kevin from the 21st. "You'll find out tomorrow" Connor said as he walked off chuckling. "Please look after my Fiance" I said which made him chuckle once more.

After the shift all of the girls were in the ER waiting "oh my god" I said as i placed my hands I've my mouth before I walked over the girls were in fancy dress "you guys look great" i said as Maggie began to put the slash over me as I stood there with a grumpy look on my face which made them all chuckle before Maggie threw me a costume. "Get changed" Maggie said with her strict voice "is that an order" I asked with a grin "I'd better not upset the charge nurse" i said before heading back into the doctors lounge and getting changed.

"Sexy lady" Maggie said as I walked over to them and we headed out to the parking lot to see my mom & Burgess waiting "this is the first and last time you will see me in a fancy dress costume." My mom said with a grumpy tone as I walked over to her and hugged her "you look great" i said as I looked at her costume. "I need a drink" Mom said as she began to walk away. We went to bars on the other side of town to avoid seeing the boys as I was sat the bar I felt my phone vibrate to see a photo of the boys dressed up there costumes which made me smile and I turned to show Nat "Will looks ridiculous" Nat said as she burst out laughing.

Before we all took a round of shots and the song I gotta feeling began to play "right let's dance" Nat said as she grabbed me by the hand and pulled me out onto the dance floor before all the girls began to follow, we hit each bar and by the end of the night we were staggering around Chicago "tonight was awesome" Mom said as she giggled as each of us could barely walk "my last night as a single woman" I said before as I cheered as I placed my hands in the air before everyone else cheered.
