Chapter 7

Y/N's POV

We got home just before 10:00 at night, and everyone went to their own rooms to change after showering, except for me and Jimmy who stayed in the living room. He looked exhausted but relaxed which made me content. Seeing that a little getaway did just the trick.

"Thanks," Jimmy said with a smile.

"For what?" I asked.

"Taking the time to find us a place to have fun, we needed that."

"No problem. I'd figured you'd need some time to relax a bit." I said with a chuckle.

"Well, you should head to bed," Jimmy suggested as Scarlett and Goddard came to greet us.

"Don't tell me you're going to your lab again."

"No, not this time." Jimmy assured me, picking up the kitten and petting it as it purred.

"Alright, see you in the morning." I said as I headed to my bedroom.

Timmy's POV

I walked over to my fishbowl to check up on Cosmo and Wanda. They both are from fairy world to grant my wishes but they are friends of mine, they can change into any shape and form to disguise themselves and for good reasons too. They seemed to be sleeping at the moment so I didn't bother them for now. I put on my pajamas and went to sleep.

~1 hour later~

I woke up hearing the sound of voices from the other side of my door. At first, I thought someone had come in to rob the house but Jimmy set up a security system. I got up from my bed sneaking towards the door to press my ear against it. It sounded like Jimmy and Danny but what are they doing up early in the middle of the night? It was muffled so I couldn't hear from the other side of the door so I cracked it open to hear what they were saying. 

"Are they all asleep?"

"Yep. I check their rooms."

"Good, just making sure."

"Do we have to do this? I haven't got a good sleep yet, could we just wait until-."

"The quicker we do this, the sooner we come back before morning."

"One of them is bound to find out."

"They might think we're going for a walk"

'What are they up to?' I wondered, getting more and more curious. Not realizing that I was leaning too much, the door swung open and I fell to the floor. I rubbed my chin at the impact.

"Timmy!?"

I looked up realizing that I was caught in the act as both pairs of eyes stared at me.

"Told ya," Danny said, folding his arms while looking at Jimmy as if he had just proved a point.

"Whatever you're thinking, you're not coming with us tonight," Jimmy said sternly.

I stood up dusting myself off, frowning.

"Ok, But where are you guys going then?" I asked, "And don't tell me you're going for a walk"

They both sighed in defeat before Danny spoke.

"We're going to the asylum-"

"Danny!" Jimmy shouted almost above a whisper.

"What? Can't I just tell him the truth for once?"

"wait...WHAT-"

"Shhh! Not so loud! Others are still sleeping, you know." Danny said, covering my mouth with his hand to keep me from shouting.

"Sorry, forgot about that," I said once he lifted his hand from my mouth. "But isn't that place haunted?"

"Timmy, I can turn into a ghost and  you're not bothered by it at all"

"Yes, but that's different."

"Oh boy," Jimmy sighed, facepalming "Now you've started it."

"Haven't you heard what happens to anyone that enters that place?"

"Yes Timmy, I'm well aware of that, but that doesn't mean I believe in those rumors you heard about. There's gotta be another reason why." Jimmy said, thinking to himself.

"Trust me on this, there's no way you're gonna change his mind on this one" Danny whispered to me.

"I'm still here you know..." Jimmy reminded Danny, a little annoyed.

"You know what I mean."

"Look, we don't have time for this. Timmy, don't mention this to the others when they get up." Jimmy warned me as they headed towards the door.

"Wait a minute, you didn't tell them about this?" I asked, making sure to lower my voice seeing that the others were still asleep.

"No, just keep this between us, we'll tell them but not now." Jimmy answered, opening the door.

"You will tell them not me, this is your idea, not mine." Danny corrected.

I watched as they both exited out the door, I headed back to my room to sleep once more.

Danny POV

'I don't like the looks of this place' I thought to myself examining the old structure of this building in front of us. It was covered with vines all over. The windows were shattered, Its bricks were cracked, and looked as if the building itself was about to collapse. The entrance was blocked by chains with a padlock. Why not just take it down instead of locking it? 'There are bound to be people like Jimmy who can easily enter it in more ways than one.' I watched as Jimmy took out a bobby pin from his pocket and started at the lock.

"Wait, can't you use one of your 'inventions' to unlock it?" I asked, surprised that he would use something as simple as a bobby pin.

Jimmy shrugged. "Might as well do it the old fashion way."

It took some time before there was a click. All of its chains fell to the ground and pushing the door only caused an eerie creek from Its hinges. Only to be met by darkness. "Let's go," Jimmy said as we both headed inside the old building.
