[ Third Person's POV ]

"I thought you were joking when you said we're going to cross a river without a bridge."

Chan laughed while pointing the camera towards Sunny who was in the driver's seat. Their two cousins at the back also laughed seeing how pissed Sunny was.

"Guys, right now, we are waiting for the other cars to pass the river. Sunny is now regretting for agreeing on becoming a driver for this trip." Khan, one of their cousins sitting at the back seat said. Sunny hissed while leaning her head on the door frame.

"How deep is the river?" Sunny asked them.

"I heard that it reaches our knee. I mean – it depends on the person's height. Just see it later." They told her.

"Wanna switch drivers?" Chan asked and Sunny immediately nodded.

He laughed and nodded, "Get out of there. You sit here." He told her as he opens the door and gets out. Sunny did the same and they exchanged positions.

There were about 15 cars following them for this trip and they are taking it slowly since not all can go into the water once. One by one. The car's leader has told us through the walkie-talkie about the must and must not do when crossing the river.

The car will basically be in the water. What to expect?

"You should expect the water getting into the car as usual."

"Don't change the gear while you're in the water. A big no-no. Just go slow."

"Do not let go of your steering wheel. Watch your step. Feel that stones and you're gonna be okay."

When the river was visible to Sunny, her jaw dropped seeing how huge the river was. It was so wide and it answers Sunny's questions about why it takes about 10 minutes for one car to cross the river even. Yes, everyone goes slow. But it feels that they are going too slow. She expected a small river.

"Alright, go." One of Sunny's uncles said to the car in front of them and the driver drove into the water.

"You guys... are you all watching this?" Sunny asked while showing the camera the view of the car crossing the water. Slowly. The water was moving but not fast.

Chan drove to the end of the dry ground before he was once more reminded by their uncle about the dos and don'ts.

"If it rains, this river will not be able to be cross, right?" Sunny asked her uncle.

"Exactly. Want to know how high the water can be when it's the rainy season?" Her uncle said.

"How high?" Sunny asked.

"You see that stick there?" He pointed at a flood measuring ruler that was in the water. It measures 5 meters. "In 2017, the stick was not seen anymore. It was so deep and the water was so bad. Bringing dirt, trees, and just, terrible. We cannot use this road for weeks."

Sunny gasped, "That is so bad..." Sunny commented.

"That's really bad." Chan agreed.

"But, luckily there's this bridge for walker. High bridge. Before this, it was still using woods. But after that one incident, the minister upgraded it to a more proper and safer bridge for the villagers just in case during the flood season."

Sunny hissed and shook her head.

"I'm really glad you two and your father joined us this time. And especially you, Sunny." Her uncle said. Sunny smiled and nodded, "I have time. Why not?"

"Alright, you can go now. Set it to the lower gear." Their uncle said before walking backward a few steps.

"Remember, don't change your gear while you're in the water." Sunny reminded Chan as he changes his gear to a lower gear. "Is that all you remember?" Chan asked before he slowly drives.
