"So, Sunny, can you tell us about your story? How did you get into Big Hit Entertainment? Or now, well known as the company who manages worldwide artists such as BTS, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande. How did you get into the company and debuted?" The host named Nazreen asked.

I nodded as I grinned.

"Since I was a child, I was a fan of K-Pop. I listen to a lot of music because it calms me down and some songs especially K-Pop songs makes me wanna dance. My father was investing in Big Hit Entertainment in 2014 if I'm not mistaken. And he asked me if I want to train to be a K-Pop artist? And I said, yes. And in a month, I learnt Korean language and their etiquettes. I sent my video through email to the company and I got into the company. I came to Korea and started training in 2016. I trained for 2 years and finally debuted in 2018. That's how I get into the company. Even after sending my video, when I get to Korea, I went through more tests before I was officially a trainee under Big Hit Entertainment."

I explained to them and they nodded.

"So, it was your father who persuaded you or he just suggested?" The host named Aina asked.

"He just suggested. And I said, yes. I want to be a K-Pop artist." I replied.

"Wow, and that, is volunteering. Tell us about your training schedules? I heard that training to be a K-Pop idol is really intense. Tell us about your experience, Sunny." Nazreen said.

"Yes, training to be a K-Pop artist is really intense. We trained for 20 hours a day? Our phones were taken away most of the time to prevent distractions. But as time passed by, those who has good result, those who work hard and has a good result, the duration of training was lessened down and I was one of the trainees who get my duration lessened down." I told them.

Mom then interjects, "I remember Sunny calling me one day while she was crying. She said that she was really tired and wants to go home." Mom placed her hands on my shoulders. I chuckled softly.

"I still remember that day. She was crying so bad and wanted to go home. She was hungry and tired. Her schedule is too pack that she can't even take a break to eat. When she wants to sleep, she would escape into the bathroom and sleep there and then get scolded." Mom continued.

"That is really bad..." Aina commented.

"I'm not talking bad about the K-Pop industry." I gasped and shook my head. They laughed and nodded, "We understand. Don't worry."

"I'm just telling everyone that becoming a K-Pop artist need patience and your mental health needs to be very strong. I never had a friend who I become friends with for more than a week. Because every single week, lots of trainees go home. They quit because they are tired. And every single week, new faces comes in to be trainees and they will leave a month later." I said.

"I don't blame them. I don't blame the agency because yes, becoming an artist, you need to be strong. Both mental health. You need to be super disciplined. And I admit that after becoming a K-Pop artist, I'm more disciplined. But it makes you super strict to yourself." I added.

Mom interjects again, "I remembered when she first came home after debuting in 2018. She was really strict with what she eats. She eats very little. I asked her, why did you eat so little? She told me she can't help it but to be strict in terms of eating. I was stunned because she just ate a few spoons and that was her dinner. At the age of 16 years old, she developed gastric, stress and depressions too. She was really in a bad condition to be honest."

I smiled blandly and nodded.

"But how are you now? You're feeling better now?" Nazreen asked.

I smiled, "Yes. I feel much more better than I've ever been. When I came back to the K-Pop industry in 2020, I was already 18 years old and I am more matured. So, I can control myself. And I think the break that I had from the industry made me refresh myself especially mentally."

"Returning to the industry, I felt really fresh. Even though it was the pandemic time, my mind was still positive and everything was really good. Physically and mentally, I can say that I grow up."

"Of course, you grew up. You went from a 16-year-old teenager to an 18-year-old teenager." Aina said.

I grinned and nodded.

"So, back in 2018, you had a break just, 3 months after you debuted. It was a hot topic and the reason you took a break was because you wanted to focus on your study for SPM. Why did you opt to sit for your exam in 2019 and not delay it since that is also possible?" Nazreen asked.

"I don't like to delay or postpone things if it is not because of emergency. For SPM, I can do it and I do it. I didn't want to delay the exam because I want to enter university afterwards." I answered.

"Talking about university, are you enrolled now?" Aina asked.

I chuckled and glanced at the camera, "Actually, I didn't tell anyone about this except for close friends and family. Yes, I am enrolled in university and I'm taking social science."

"Social science? Your brothers took business classes, right? Why didn't you take business course too since you're going to take over your family's business too, right?" The hosts asked.

I chuckled, "I'm more interested in social science than business. More into social experiment, or basically psychology too." I told them.

They nodded, "Are you going to follow your father's step as a politician? Because I've seen you posting a lot about donating and helping your people back in Sabah. Are you interested in becoming a politician? Because if you do, I'm sure you're going be great." Aina said.

I chuckled, "Thank you. I don't know yet. I'm just going to finish my course and see what I will do later on since right now, I'm still an entertainer." I grinned.

The show continues with deeper questions during the interview. Not only in session to know more about Sunny and her mother but also, the relationship between the mother and daughter.

More about K-Pop and Sunny's journey as a K-Pop artist are all revealed during the show.
