After 2 hours of traveling by car, we arrived at the town hall and the volunteers are already waiting for us. Some had already left because they couldn't wait. I don't blame them. As long as they can still communicate with us, that is alright.

"How many families are we looking for?" I asked while putting on my gloves.

"More than 450 families. Approximately, around 500 families," the leader of the group said.

"How many villages?" I asked.

"12 villages," the man replied. I nodded. Cavin handed me a walkie-talkie that is connected through the satellite signal. I hooked it at the right side of my shoulders to make it easier for me to use later on.

"How many have been rescued?" I questioned again.

"Less than a hundred people. Armies, polices and firefighters are still getting ready with their equipment at their stations. We can't wait. They won't work in the night," the man said.

I nodded, "We know we can't wait for the government. How many lorries do we have right now?"

"We have 12 lorries. We can transport all 12 groups to 12 villages that are affected by the flood. We have boats and rubber boats but there are some places that doesn't need boat. 2 villages that are near the riverbank are having difficulties. They need to be rescued by someone who can steer the boat professionally because we can't go in there unless we use the river. But the river water's current is too strong," the man explained.

I shook my head, "Then we'll go in there with helicopters," I said.

"Helicopters?" the man asked.

I looked at him, "Yeah. Helicopters. It's coming soon. Stay contact with me. I'm gonna need you to board one of the helicopters. We have 6 helicopters, rented for saving the flood victims. I will ask one of my team members to find you. You will need to tell me where the victims who are trapped so the helicopter's team can rescue them."

"Okay. Sure." The man replied.

"Alright, let's gather everyone in groups!" I said to the team and they got into the line.

While we were giving some briefings to the team and making sure everyone has life jackets, the helicopters arrive and landed at the soccer field since there are no other flat land to land.

Each helicopter will only have 6 members inside since other empty spaces need to be emptied for the victims that will be rescued from being trapped in the village or trapped.

After a short briefing, we separate into our groups.

"You're boarding the helicopter," Adrian said to me.

"No, I'm not. I'm following the lorries," I said to him while adjusting my life jacket.

"No. You're not. You're boarding the helicopter," he said, patting my shoulders.

"No," I replied, insisting on not boarding the helicopter.

"I don't want you to do the heavy task. There are no women here other than you. Board the helicopter." Adrian said to me.

"I said, no." I said to him with a firm voice before walking towards a rescue lorry.

What? Does he think I'm a female and I'm weak? I can't do heavy tasks? No way. I'm far from weak.

I get to the back of the lorry and sat together with one of the volunteers. Before we left, I talked with Mia, the coordinator of the hall that will be the place where the flood victims will stay while waiting for the floodwater to dry up. But right now, it is hard to say if the rain will stop or not.
