-Author's POV-

The plane lands gracefully, Madison sighs with relief as the wheels make contact with the ground. She never did like flying, and with her parents not here to hold her hand only made it harder. But, she never allows anyone to see her weakness; on the outside she was a confident, and a careless teen. On the inside she was a mess with insecurities flooding her mind with impractical filth.

"Finally!" Ella brings the teen out of her thoughts.

"I know right." She unclasps her seatbelt, and releases an obnoxious groan.

"You can't take your seatbelt off-"

"Do what I want." Ella rolls her eyes; Madison was slowly getting on her nerves.

"Miss, your seatbelt must remain intact until the plane has come to a full stop" The flight attendant speaks to the unimpressed teen.

"Don't worry, if I die I wont sue you's"

"Miss it's the rules-"

"You do realize you're just a god damn flight attendant right? Calm yourself will ya?!" Madison speaks with annoyance, her hands tug and pull at the safety belt all while. The flight attendant shakes her head and walks down the aisle. Madison chooses to remove the belt once again; obviously following the rules isn't in her books.

"Why're you such a grump?" Ella asks with a cocked eyebrow.

"Grump? I'm f!cking fab."

"Think highly of yourself-"

"Mum says to always think highly of yourself because nobody will ever see you the way you see yourself" Madison repeats her Mum's words with a smug smile.

"Your Mum seems just as cocky as you-"

"B!tch what?!" She laughs along with Ella. who's finding this all too comical. Madison tames down her voice and impatiently waits for the flight attendants to announce the green light to part out of the plane.

"I got the sickest outfits! I knew we'd be going somewhere sunny - well Mum actually said we'd be going somewhere sunny" She smiles at the mention of her Mum, because although Clara didn't come along on the trip, she was still here in spirit. She makes a mental note to call her parents when she gets a second to herself.

"I honestly thought we'd be going somewhere like California-"

"It's nothing special, I'm glad we came to the South of France, this will be my fifth time here-"

"Don't you go to school? When do you manage to travel?"

"My parents had me homeschooled this year," She shrugs "So I got to travel with them, and my tutor came along with us-"

"You sound like one of those snobby rich kids" Madison was always insecure with other peoples thoughts of her life, she knew she was privileged, she didn't like to rave about her life until the opportunity was brought up.

"Not really" She lies, her eyes avert and shift wildly with her lie. She was never a good liar.

"Oh yeah? What's your house like?" Ella challenges her.

"You know, just regular, like everyone else" Again she lies and licks the corner of her lips with nervousness.

"Says the one with a £15,000 luggage-"

"Oh that," Madison laughs nervously "That was a gift from my auntie"

"And how about your rugsake? That's at least £8,000"

"What's with all the god damn questions?!" She hugs her rugsake tightly and turns her head away from Ella.

"Just trying to prove a point. Stop acting like you've got nothing, when really, you've got it all." Madison was always surrounded by jealousy, and she always had to choose her friends wisely, even her friends weren't friends. She never did trust anyone.
