Skylars POV:
"Do I have to go to New York?" I complained to my sister, Amber.
"I won't know anybody at the Community college there." I, again, complained to her, trying to get her to stop packing up our things.
"Sky, we need to move out of this place. We've committed crimes here and they're out to get us. We're gonna move to the states so we can live in peace. Hey and maybe you'll meet a boy there."
I groaned. I'm not the really the romantic type. I just don't get out much, plus I'm so ugly. Who would want to date me?
"Well, you forced me into doing them." I said and she scoffed.
"The spray painting was your idea."
"No way! You are not blaming that on me." I said as I put my sweaters into a small box.
"It was all you."
"I bought the paint, you came up with the idea."
"Whatever floats your boat." She said and I rolled my eyes. We continued to pack for a while until we had everything in boxes. We didn't have much furniture. We rented it from the landlord.
"Okay well we better get some sleep." She started. "Our plane is at 5:30 tomorrow."
"Are you fucking kidding me?" I said and Amber nodded. I groaned in frustration and plopped down on our little sofa and drifted into sleep. But before I fell into slumber, I couldn't help but think about how New York would be. Why couldn't we move to Lima, Ohio or something? A place where I will be a no body and I don't have to worry about the crowded streets. Or why not move to a different part of Australia. We live in Sydney so why not move to Perth or Melbourne? Maybe Brisbane or Adelaide?
Any where but Sydney or New York.
The two places I hated with my entire life.
And now I'm being forced to move there with my sister.
