//Hi! This is my first story so it will probably suck// TW⚠️

Taking quick glances back, running as fast as you can on the sidewalk. Him a few meters away from you.

Pulling out his gun he shoots you in your foot, you fall to the ground.

He slows himself down and cuts your stomach including across your eye. You yelp in pain wishing you never fell for the glory of a football player.

Building up the strength, you punch him in the face, giving you a few seconds to get up. Your adrenaline is through the roof helping you get up.

Your slower than you were before but you are still going as fast as you can. Your clothes are full of blood. Finally after two years you escape his wrath.

"You will be wishing you never did this!" He grins. Distracted from everything around him he trips. This was your moment.

A house came up ahead of you, sparking a bit of hope in your head. Your head felt shattered like a glass. The pieces wanting to come back together like a puzzle. Your head has felt like this for 11 long years.

You run up to the door banging on it as hard as you can. A man answers looking confused.

"Please help me!" You cry. "Let me in please he's coming!"

He looks at you and gets the message. You run inside and get somewhere out of sight of the door.

Your heart drops to the three long knocks on the door. The man opens the door and says, "hello."

He lets out a slight laugh, "Sorry to interrupt you, but have you seen a girl with long (h/c) hair? My sister went on a walk and it's been a while. Getting really worried."

Hopping the man that let you in his home lies to Alec.

"No, but I really hope you find her," he replies. "There is a secret way back down that way, it's a nice quiet path to go down. Maybe check that way."

You felt like you were going to cry of joy. Besides your entire body aching, this man saved your life and you were saved. It felt like some of those pieces in your brain finally found a way to come back together. You let out your tears instead of hiding them.

The man who had saved you came around to where you were. He studies the blood on you, he didn't bother even saying "are you okay." He looked like he understood the situation a little.

"What did he do to you?" He looks full of mixed feelings. Sad, worried, and confused.

You got a little room to speak, "You don't wanna know, but I want to thank you. I can't repay you any other way."

"I will call 911," he quickly grabs his phone.

Your eyes widen, "No!"

"Why not? You need help, major help," he says.

"T-they can't know. Nobody. Yes it may sound s-stupid but please don't," you give him a look that is begging for this. He sets his phone down.

"I-I don't know how to help..."

"Tweezers," you suggest.

"For?" He asks.

It gets you, everything throbs. It's like it stops then turns right back on. It just gets worse and worse every...single...time.

Your set yourself ready to stand when you get lightheaded. Your other eye blurs as it turns into complete darkness. You try and stop yourself from doing this, but it doesn't work.

"Ma'am! Stay awake!" He shouts. You stumble, and fall to the ground. Looking at complete darkness...

~~

You wake up to pure pain. Your right eye is blurred from Alec's knife. Your stomach isn't bleeding and your in new clothes. You ignore the fact that HE changed you, the least of your worries. You lift up your pants revealing the bullet hole. It didn't go in too far so you would be able to see it. But it wasn't there.

You try and stand up but it doesn't work to well and you fall to the floor. Footsteps are near by, getting louder and louder. The door shoots open, the man looks worried.

"Are you alright?!" He helps you up.

"Yes and no."

"Where did the bullet hole go?" You ask. You have gotten good at hiding pain, which was what you were doing now.

"Tweezers," he replies. "I'm not a doctor so I hope I didn't ruin your foot forever, but I stitched your stomach together."

You give a little smile, it's been a while since you have last smiled. You can't see his face very well, it was a blur.

"What's your name?" You ask.

"Mark," he replies. "Mark fischbach."

You knew the YouTuber, but not very well. It was kind of cool meeting a famous person too.

"Your the dude from YouTube right?" You question.

"The dude from YouTube," he gives out a slight laugh. "Markiplier."

"Cool," stupid thing you said but whatever. "How long was I out for?"

"7 days, which is a week," Marks smile fades. "I haven't posted!"

You give no reply, just smile.

"I will get out of your hair, figure out someway to live," you walk to the door but he blocks it.

"No, you stay," he says. "He could find you and you have nothing else."

"What if you try to kill me?" You were being serious. You had trust issues.

"I won't I swear," he promises.

You pause for a while, thinking about your future. Would you rather live with somebody you barely knew but famous on YouTube, or live on the streets. Tough choice.

It seems pretty obvious but Alec was this amazing football player that was popular. Ended up doing bad things to you which hurt, physically and mentally. After what happened you had a big choice.

It was your entire future... everything on the line. Well, if I stay here I get food, food or trash. Well, that only means one thing.

"Mark, I hope I don't upset you with my choice, but I choose....
