Laurent's first love

"You've been staring at her for so long, Rent."
I removed my gaze from the girl I was staring at when I heard my friend, Enri, laugh. I shook my head and punched his arm. I rolled my eyes at him before gazing back at the girl I was watching earlier. We are at Zeneia's birthday when I saw this girl... beautiful girl... Very beautiful girl... She's wearing a simple dress yet she already looks like a goddess. She was observing the place while pouting a bit. She looks like she's lost... It's so cute.
"You like her?" Erin interrupted me again. I look at him, he was grinning at me.
I did not answer her because I, myself, don't even know the answer to the question. I mean, yes, I am attracted. But I still don't know who she is yet. Baka mamaya ay masama pala ang ugali niya. I don't base it on looks only.
"Ayaw mo siya lapitan, Rent? She's with no one, oh. Grab the oppurtunity."
I agreed to that so I stood up from my seat and made my way to the girl. I saw her look down while getting something from her bag. Tumayo ako sa harapan niya at mukhang hindi niya napansin 'yon.
God, she really looks like a goddess. May flower crown pa siya na suot kaya mas nagmukha siyang anghel.
"Hi," I started and she surprisingly looked at me. "I'm Laurent."
"Oh, hi! I'm Finah!" Masigla niyang sabi at kumaway pa ng kaunti. I chuckled mentally, she looks so cute.
"Why are you alone?" I asked her.
"My Mom and Dad are talking with some people," she shrugged. "I do-" Hindi na natuloy ang sasabihin niya nang biglang dumating ang pinsan ko.
"Hey! Why are you talking to my friend?!" OA na sabi ni Zeneia at inakbayan si Finah.
I raised both of my hands at her. "I just want to know her, Zen. What's wrong with that?"
Zeneia is Tito Zach's and Tita Jeila's daughter. May kapatid rin siya na si Zuriel pero baby pa lang. Kaming tatlo ni Shauntel at Zeneia ang pinakamatanda. I can say that I'm close with Zeneia... it's just that sometimes she can be over protective... just like now.
"You playboy! Crush mo si Finah, 'no?"
I shooked my head. "No! I just... really want to be friends with her."
Zeneia squinted her eyes at me and I rolled my eyes back. Wala ba talagang tiwala sa akin ang pinsan ko na 'to? It's not like I'll court Finah! We're just twelve years old!
"Laurent! Tita Laurene is finding you," Enri came to me. "Hi!" Bati niya kila Finah.
I sighed before gazing back at Finah. She has this small smile on her face and I just felt my eyes twinkle because of that. I smiled at her. "Nice to meet you."
