This is a quick, little side note before you begin reading. You can skip this as it is unrelated to the plot, but please read the bold text for information about this book. This book is the first proper book that I am writing, and it is also my first ever fan fiction. I've been obsessed with Arcane ever since it came out, and by now, I've read all the good fanfics on Wattpad. So I thought, why not write one myself?
This book is a Jinx x Female OC. It has long chapters (~4500-5300 words per chapter), so do not be discouraged by the number of chapters. I might continue this book after the story of season one ends and proceed to write my own. Once season two comes out, I will definitely continue following the actual plot of Arcane.
I am the type of person who prefers drama and lots of tension throughout a story, so do not expect this to be purely a romance book. Jinx as a person is really, really broken and mentally troubled. After she gets injected with shimmer, I believe she kind of becomes a sociopath, if not even a psychopath. I will do my best to stick to that throughout the story, so there will be a lot of angst and emotion, and most likely not a perfect ending. Read to find out!
I am writing this book mainly for my own sake because I need to mend my obsession with this show since season two will not come out for a while, and I need to move on. I hope that some people will read my story and enjoy it as much as I do. I apologise in advance in case my writing may not be the best, but I tried my hardest to make it as good as possible.
This book is rated M for mature because it does have some sensitive topics, such as explicit descriptions of blood or violence, profanity, trauma, death, etc. The show is rated 16+ and so is this book. If you are under that age, please proceed with your own caution.
