William Gold is a musician born in Suffolk, England. He grew up in Brighton, east Sussex. He is 25 and his birthday is estimated to be September 14th, 1996 but this has never been confirmed. He streams on twitch and makes music for fun. He has previously mentioned things about both of his parents, such as saying his dad watches his streams, indicating both his mother and father are still alive. He has also mentioned he has step-siblings but no further information is known about his family.

He, first off, started editing and appearing in videos for the YouTube channel "Soot House''. There he was the main editor and directing frontman. His other former YouTube channels other than "Soot House'' consist of "Settings66" with another boy named Ben, "Minecraft and Donuts" or "1MinecraftHD" with a girl named Sophie. He forgot the password for his channel, "Settings66'' account but has said that if he could remember it he would delete all the videos, out of embarrassment. As for "Minecraft and Donuts'', Sophie was unable to make videos for a bit because of a operation. However after 2 years of no uploads, William made a video apologizing for the lack of uploads but saying that Sophie couldn't take part in any videos anymore. He stopped uploading and in late 2020, all the videos on the channel were turned to private but since, about half have been re-publicized. He also had "ALittleBritOfWill" where he posted short films and a vlog.

He had one more channel before his current one. It was called "Wilbur Music" and is where he posted some of his songs. One EP he made on "Wilbur Music" was called "Maybe I Was Boring". This EP consisted of four songs, "Maybe I Was Boring", "For Memories", "White Wine In A Wetherspoons" and "It's All Futile, It's All Pointless" which would end up being the last song in his newest EP by his band Lovejoy. Another album he made there was "Your City Gave Me Asthma" which is what boosted him. One of the final songs on "Wilbur Music" was "I'm Very Smart" which according to him, was a flop. He also went to Sussex Downs College in Lewes, England and graduated with a bachelor's degree in editing and post production. His first ever recording of music he wrote was "The Squid song! Minecraft song" released in 2012 on his channel "Minecraft and Donuts".

His first big, blown up song/album was "Your City Gave Me Asthma". It's an album with songs that each have a important meaning but are very different. About a year before he released "Your City Gave Me Asthma", he began streaming on twitch.tv/WilburSoot. He then released the album, using his streaming to promote it which really helped the album blow up like it did. Because William was not in a good mental state when he wrote the songs, he personally does not like them and has stated that his fans now own the album. He has also said that he cant listen to any of the songs with the exception of "La Jolla", which is his favorite of the album. He has deleted it from all of his YouTube channels but does not care if other people upload them, and he has also left it on all streaming services it was previously on.

As mentioned previously, he released an album on "Wilbur Music" called "Maybe I Was Boring", which after he blew up became even more popular. He then later created a band with three other people. These people are Mark Boardman, Joe Goldsmith, and Ash Kabosu. The band was named "Lovejoy" after a close friend of theirs named Benedict Lovejoy. Their producer's name is Don Nix and so far they have released two EPs. Their first EP "Are You Alright?" had four songs on it. These were "Taunt", "One Day", "Sex Sells", and "Cause For Concern". Their second EP, "Pebble Brain" had 7 songs on it, "Oh Yeah, You Gonna Cry?", "Model Buses", "Concrete", "Perfume", "You'll Understand When YOu're Older", "The Fall", and "It's All Futile, It's All Pointless". The last song is a song previously written by William, on his channel "Wilbur Music" in his EP, "Maybe I Was Boring". As far as performances, the only live bit is in William's streams where he sings the songs.

William may have a lot going on in public and on social media but he is a human and he has human experiences. He has had friends and lost friends but he kept going and now he's here. He has made himself a well known guy, especially in the minecraft community. He makes music and plays video games and is lucky enough to be doing what he loves as a profession even if it took him a while.
