Chapter 21

ZAYNS POV

I ran back over to Rylee and Jessie to see if Rylee was responding. Jessie informed me that she wasn't.

After about 3 minutes all the boys were outside and the ambulance was on the way. 5 minutes later Rylee was boarded onto the van and was on her way to the hospital.

Olivia, the boys, and I all started entering the bus, right before I got on I realized Jessie was standing in the middle of the parking lot and told the boys. Niall got out of the van, which he had already entered and ran over to her.

NIALLS POV

I ran over to to the girl, Jessie, because Zayn told us she was just standing there and I wasn't gonna just leave a pretty girl by herself.

"Uh hi.." I said nervously, wow Niall great job. You already sound nervous.

"Hi!" She replied blushing

"I'm Niall!" I replied

"I knew that! I really like One Direction so I kinda knew your name..." She said giggling "I'm Jessie"

"That'a a nice name." I said smiling, "well if you don't have any plans since you DID help Rye do you wanna come with us to the hospital?"

JESSIE'S POV

Holy shit. Niall James Horan just asked me to get into the van filled with the 5 sex gods. How can I turn this down?! "Yea! That'd be nice!" I replied surprisingly keeping my cool.

The whole 10 minute ride there me and Olivia talked about the boys and how we met them and who our favorite is(we whispered most of this). She told me hers was Harry.

"Who's yours?" She asked

"Niall" I said blushing... Smooth.

"AWE YOU GUYS ARE GONNA BE SO CUTE TOGETHER AND YOU ARE GONNA GET MARRIED AND HAVE ADORABLE BLONDE CHILDREN AND AWWEE!!!" She whisper yelled.

"Ok?" I said laughing

"We're here guys!" Niall announced in his cute Irish accent.

ZAYNS POV

We entered the hospital and the lady at the counter asked who we were here for.

"Rylee Miller" I replied biting my lip.

"Ok well she is only allowed one visitor at a time so ill let you guys work it out an she's in room 69 on the second floor." The counter lady explained, Louis, Harry, and Niall all starting bursting laughing when she said 69 and so did Olivia..

After about 5 minutes of arguing why we should get to see her I finally won.

I went to the elevator and rode to the second floor and turned to the left down a light blue hall and counted up the doorways 66...67...68... Oh here we are 69!

I walked into her room, her left arm was in a cast and she was hooked up to many machines. I walked over to her and kinda just sat there. After about 5 minutes a doctor walked in.

"Hi are you Zayn?" The female doctor who looked to be in her early 30s asked me.

"Uh yea" I replied

"Ok well I need to explain a few things to you... Rylees arm is severely broken and she will be in this cast for a while and may have to have a procedure done, this is all if she wakes up... An-"

I cut her off "wait... IF she wakes up?"

"I was just getting to that," she started "Rylee had a few severe injuries to her stomach and ribs and she hit her head pretty hard, right now she is in an unconscious coma state, she has been like this since she was in the ambulance and most likely sooner, we are thinking she will be ok, she will be closely monitored.. BUT there is the chance that she.. Well... Won't wake up..."

"W-what?" I stuttered out

"I'm sorry... Ill leave you alone..." And with that she left.

"Rylee, I just want to let you know this... You are amazing, you are beautiful, you are strong, I have known you for my whole life and I KNOW that you are very strong, you can make it through anything, I know this may be a tough obstacle to get over but I believe in you... And... I-I love you Rylee, you mean the world to me. And while I'm here... I just wanna say that I mean this as more than a friend... I have for a while." I said, a tear making its way off the brim of my eye.

RYLEES POV

I was awake but I couldn't do anything... I could somewhat make out what the doctor and... Someone else? Was saying. I might not wake up? I tried to tell 'IM AWAKE' but nothing came out. Then I heard a door close.

"Rylee, I just want to let you know this... You are amazing, you are beautiful, you are strong, I have known you for my whole life and I KNOW that you are very strong, you can make it through anything, I know this may be a tough obstacle to get over but I believe in you... And... I-I love you Rylee, you mean the world to me. And while I'm here... I just wanna say that I mean this as more than a friend... I have for a while." That was Zayn, I knew it was, I could tell my his Pakistanian in his accent. Wait, he loves me, he feels the way I feel, either this is a dream and I need to wakeup or its real and I REALLY need to wake up.

"If you can hear me Rylee" he placed his hand on my right one, "squeeze my hand as hard as you can.

I used all of my strength and nothing was happening then, I felt my hand move and he yelled for the doctor. The doctor came in and Zayn explained my movement and then there was 2 doctors and 3 nurses in my room trying to decide what to do.

According to them I needed to show them a bigger sign of awakeness or they were gonna call my mum and talk about taking me off of all medicine and machines. Shit. I tried my hardest to do something, then finally, about 3 minutes later I let out a cough and everyone was asking who coughed, I tried to say I did but Zayn helped me on that one.

"Rylee did! It was Rylee! She's waking up!" Zayn sounded so excited.

After about another 45 minutes of talking and machines and me having tests like 'blink once, blink three times' and 'follow my finger with just your eyes' they left to talk with the rest of our friends and it was just me and Zayn.

"Z-Zayn." I stuttered breaking the silence with my weak voice.

"Yea Rye?" He asked

"I-I love you t-too"
