Jin gets to work getting the leftovers ready for dinner, thankful it will be a relatively easy job of just heating everything back up in the oven.

More importantly, though, there is something more pressing that requires his attention.

He convinced Lily that June had woken up to take a shower and then complained of a headache so she went to lay back down in the darkness of her room, asking that Lily and Jin leave her alone so she can sleep the pain off.

Though Lily was concerned, she knew June got painful headaches sometimes and didn't question it.

Jin had left the window in June's room cracked to keep her lavender body cold so she wouldn't start stinking up the house Lily loves so much. But he needs to find a better place more suited for his girlfriend than on a mattress with no sheet.

He knows just the thing.

It takes effort; he is sure he pulled a muscle in his back, but with the cover of the snowy winter night, he manages to finish his job in the fenced-in backyard before climbing back into the window of June's bedroom and walking into the living room like all he was doing was caring for his sick girlfriend.

"She doesn't want to eat," Jin says, a small frown on his face. "She said she's a bit too nauseous."

Lily sighs. "That happens a lot when she gets these headaches. She can't really eat anything because the pain makes her feel sick."

"I'll save her a plate, though," Jin says, smiling as he gestures for Lily to come into the kitchen.

"Smells as heavenly as last night's meal," Lily says. "Almost as if it's the same exact thing."

"Shut up," Jin says, laughing. "And it'll be just as good too."

The two eat with easy conversation passing between the two; Lily is no longer tense around her sister's boyfriend, realizing all the stress of the holiday and her overtime hours at work really made her mind play tricks on her.

Jin sighs, leaning back and rubbing his full stomach as Lily finishes her food as well.

"You need to teach me how to cook," Lily says, shaking her head. "When you and June get married and move into your own place, I'm going to die alone and starving unless you teach me your ways."

Jin sighs, standing to take their empty plates. "You know I'd never let you starve. I'll cook you three meals a day and bring them to your door. Besides, you can always live with me. That ring means we're stuck together."

"Ah, yes," Lily says, rolling her eyes as she helps Jin clean the kitchen. "I love third-wheeling in my sister's relationship."

Jin stares at the running water pouring from the faucet, not really feeling the cool water dancing on his fingers.

"Come on," he says, grinning brightly at her as he turns the water off. "There's something beautiful I want you to see."
