Even though Maggie had tried her best to be as discreet as possible, the others had put two and two together and concluded that it was Maggie's ex on the phone.

Hotch felt he needed to talk to her about what her ex had accused him of but wasn't sure how to bring it up. One thing he knew for sure was that it was time for Maggie to tell the team the whole story and let them help her with the problem. He felt guilty for not picking up any warning signs that something was wrong.

He should have realized something was wrong when Maggie was late for work.

He should have seen she had started to bite her nails.

He should have seen the dark circles under her eyes from staying awake all night.

He should have seen the signs and offered his and the team's help. Because he knew for sure, the team wouldn't hesitate to assist Maggie in trying to solve her problem. On this team, no one was alone in their fight.

After ending the call Maggie made her way back to the rest of the team and was met by everyone's eyes.

"I'm sorry about that," Maggie said and handed the phone to Hotch. "I blocked his number so he won't bother you again and I'll have Garia block it from everyone else's phone to make sure he doesn't bother any of you."

She made her way back to her seat and slumped down with a sigh. All eyes were still on her and she was starting to feel uncomfortable so she decided to close her eyes and avoid their stares.

"Maggie, I think it's time you tell us your story," Hotch made a small pause before continuing. "Not just pieces of it, the whole uncensored one."

She knew this would come but that didn't make it any easier. Was she ready to tell the team about how she had lied to them for over three months when she told them she wasn't in a relationship? Or what happened to her fiance a couple of years ago.

"Maggie," Hotch urged and she realized she had been sitting there staring out the window without giving any sign of life except her constant breathing and blinking.

"Fine," she signed and improved her composure.

"I'll start from the beginning so we can get this over with. When I was 19 I joined the Chicago PD after hearing Morgan's stories and I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. So I joined and met a guy named, Lawerence he was 21 at the time and we became partners and became close, we started seeing each other outside of work and eventually started dating. After a year of dating, he proposed to me and I said yes. Everything was perfect. When I was 22-"

She paused before continuing "We were chasing a guy that committed murder and he made it to the top of a building and we were all surrounding the building. One thing led to another and all I remember was the man pointing the gun at me from the building and then Lawerence running in front of me and a loud ringing sound."
